    Hi all. Its been a while. I've added an optional version of the mod that doesn't require the Skyrim Main Quest or you to be formally welcomed by the Graybeards. The quest will start at Level 15 or Higher. I've tested this on an existing save and it works fine. Please take note you will have to Travel to another location for the courier to show up [ Whiterun to Windhelm etc] if you're on an existing save.

    The file is in the Optional Section. To Install extract the files,choose the brightness option you use and overwrite the old esp.

    Never could get this mod to work. I downloaded the non dragonborn file and it never worked. Even tried the console commands. No joy. Makes me sad.

      Hi there. Haven't been on the LE side of things for a while. Can you elaborate on what's not working? Is the quest not starting?

      Yes,the Quest never starts,no courier.Even tried the vanilla version. After becoming Dragonborn...nada. No courier. And console commands don't work.

    I really like this mod, but I had a problem when I tried to get to Skuldafn: in Velothis Mountains my game crashes due to some corrupted mesh. Might be a mod conflict, but right now I´m not in the mood to search and try if it´s really just some mod conflict or maybe something else. It´s a little bit sad, until then it was an interesting journey. Guess I need to get the word the old-fashioned way.

      Yeah sorry to hear that. I've never had crashes there myself so its a tough one to troubleshoot.

    Love the idea for the mod, but I’m having some trouble getting the quest to trigger. I’ve tried both versions (MQ and non-MQ), but I never see the courier. The only thought I have is that Vortex said it had some problem witb Better Vampire’s infinite sprint or flight or some-such ability. Appreciate any help you can offer.

      Hi there. Haven't looked at this in ages. Once you reach level 15 try to fast travel to a major city or enter a tavern. That usually helps. Alternatively type the following inside the console: player.additem AA16D3A4 1. This will add a note to your inventory. Read the note " A Letter from a Friend" and the quest will start.

    I have to say this is so well done! The dungeons are really proffesional, and so beatiful too, with light shining in here and there for example. Really nice puzzles, a lot more challenging than easy vanilla ones. And wow I just finished Skuldafn, holy moly what a work of art. Took me like 2 hours just to get to the Velothi Mountains, and once I got there, just wow. You set up a super in depth back lore to read in the book and I could totally see that reflected in the actual boss fight/fights at the end. And without spoiling for the others, I had no idea I'd actually be able to loot such a unique item from you know who. Most unique one of its kind imo. The effect of it get's a bit in the way in first person, but that just goes to show how powerful it is and that it's not something you should wear for long periods of time, only when you really need it.

    Anyway, super underrated mod. Super clever idea, that lets you get the words in a more immersive way, and more deserving(no kidding) way than just typing in console commands. Bravo.

    I haven't received the quest to locate the book yet. I finished the prerequisite quest some time ago but still haven't gotten it. I have Not So Fast Main quest, which let me skip getting the horn from Delphine before going back to the Greybeards. Could that have affected your mod? And if so could I have the quest id so I can manually start the quest please?

      Yeah that quest has to be completed. I will have to check for the quest ID as I have not played in a while. Will get back to you...

      Hi check the optional section to download an alternate version of the mod which doesn't require that quest. You must be level 15 or Higher. Also check out the sticky post. Cheers

    This is the answer to all those joining of factions in the game! I think it really well done and amazing work that has been done to this mod:)
    This should be a top Mod for all to get now, working with all DLC too and found no errors:)
    Love it and will be keeping this on my very game mod lists for Skyrim:)

    I was looking at this in xEdit and noticed that there was a conflict with a " Dialog Topic" record (adjusted by USLEEP) that seems to be related to the "Letter from a friend" you occasionally get that gives you Word Wall locations. Is the intention to replace that completely or am I misinterpreting what I see?

    Also, wasn't sure why the location records were duplicated and some USLEEP changes as well as vanilla ones undone. If that's intentional, that'd be good to know - otherwise I am assuming I should remove all but the new location records to retain the USLEEP and vanilla data ( ?? )

    I am assuming that adding those dialog conditionals won't break anything else, they are there to what, prevent them for an added NPC?

    Thanks in advance for any info and apologies if these are goofy or ignorant questions.

    EDIT: I went around as I usually do and checked each door for conflicts, no issues - I also spent a bit of time in the dungeons, and I have to say they were really good, the few puzzles I ran into were clever enough without being annoying. This mod really does deserve more attention/endorsements, FWIW it's getting mine.

      Thanks. I appreciate it. All of the Landscape and cell edits are intentional. As for the Dialogue Topic I am looking into it. I did include the USLEEP script in the Main BSA for compatiblity so I just have to check it out. The Location records are duplicated cos in Vanilla Skyrim Dustmans Cairn is placed under The ReachHold Location while USLEEP places it under WhiterunHold Location. In a later update I'll change mine to the USLEEP location. The mod is a mainstay in my load order cos I'm always changing characters and builds and I have not run into any issues so far in terms of those USLEEP conflicts.

    Hey, there. I'm trying to find the cave entrance to Skuldafn, but the directions in the book are frustratingly vague. Is the cave entrance near the dwarven city? Is it way off to the right side of the city? I don't know. It feels like I've looked every little where in the region I can, and there's just no sign of any cave at all.

    If you could provide more concrete directions, on where, exactly, this unmarked cave happens to be, or even a screenshot or two of where it's positioned on the map/what it looks like, that would be wholly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
