After a few years away, I've returned to the nexus!
My inbox was full of messages regarding porting my mods to SSE. The overwhelming majority of those messages were for AGO. I'm glad to hear that you all like the mod. I have also received a few messages about the bugs in some of my mods. I realize your concerns, and that's something I'll be working on.
As a blanket response to everyone who's asking if they can port my mods to SSE, I will release the ports myself in due time. I will be fixing several issues in my mods and I'd like to hold back the ports until the critical fixes are in.
There's a problem with horse's tail being loaded into the game world after you initially load a cell. So if you exit a city and your horse is outside, there's no problem. If you encounter a horse while moving across Skyrim, the tail will flail around. For now I'm adding the animations and meshes as seperate downloads so you can avoid this hdt problem.
This mod is broken, I Install this and freeze all horses and a can't remove the mod now, 'cos if I remove it, my Skyrim get in a infinite loading, WARNING: NOT DO THE DOWNLOAD THIS MOD.
Animations and Behavior even work fine when converted for SE. Not using the horse model so I can't say anything about that. But use this to convert animations and behaviors Guide to Animation.hkx conversion for Skyrim Special Edition. I tested them and it works on my 300+ mod setup. Turning may feel extra sensitive on controllers and maybe could be tweaked either in esp or behavior file if you know behaviors.
When sprinting and walking, my horses have a weird "laggy" effect. It's like the animation tries to restart while it's still going. When sprinting, the animation starts, and then snaps back to the start of the animation in the middle of the sprint. The horse doesn't slow down or anything, it just looks kind of weird and stutter-y. Does anyone else have this issue?
Hmm okay, thank you for the reply. My FPS is always at 60 so I'll try putting Horses Revamped above all other horse mods in the loader and report back with what I find in case anyone else ever has this issue.
Im having the same issue as you described, but only when the horse is walking. If I just walk the horse straight it doesn't happen, but after I turn the horse it starts. If I get off the horse and back on the problem still persists. This leads me to believe it has something to do with the turning behaviors from the mod. It happens even when using different/vanilla horse animations with the behaviors, so the animations from this mod are fine.
I tested on vanilla skyrim with only this mod enabled
If you're like me and don't want the speed and height changes in the animation standalone file due to other mods that affect horse speed, delete the esp and the behavior and character folders from meshes folder. I use this with the Horses Renewal rider animation and it makes a nice combo.
adding the behavior and character file in their respective folders and running fnis fixed it, tho im not using other speed horse mods or any other horse mods for that matter.
I'm a bit late but FNIS shouldn't be required since this is just replacing existing animations in the game. I hadn't even configured FNIS to this mod and have had no issues. The behavior file will still affect speed, so like I said my first post, if you don't want speed be sure to just delete the one folder. Only adding this comment in case anyone else is having trouble and thinks FNIS is the issue when it isn't.
I have a problem with the mod. The horse's tail is put between its legs and it looks like this. Before it was fine now I don't know what happens. Any solution? I use this mod since 2019 and had no problems.
Horses Renewal is not better than this or even vanilla, in fact I find it unrealistic. Not tested SC yet, but their horses are not nordic, and I don't like to play with common horses in a nordic game.

I managed to convert your amazing animations to the SE versions If you want, I can send you the updated files.
Thank you for your wonderful work!
- Download the "Horses Revamped - Animations" file from this mod.
- Extract the files from the downloaded .zip.
- Download CAO.
- Launch CAO.
- Open the folder of the extracted Horses Revamped files in CAO.
- Enable the animation optimization option.
- Run the optimization.
- Re-compress the modified animation files to a .zip format and add them to your mod manager as usual.
That worked for me. Hope that helps! For instance, if you're using this Legendary Edition mod on a Special Edition game, that's user error-- not a broken mod.
I tested on vanilla skyrim with only this mod enabled
EDIT: fixed by installing the hdt mesh replacer ONLY. DELETE the animation version and it should fix your issue!
Edit: Double checked, definitely a turn. Just remove the speed by deleting the esp and behavior files.
