    Update: April 15th, 2017

Hello and it is already due time a FOMOD is offered because of users requests for patches and other convenient options. So it is finally here, the BETA version is out and should provide all the currently available supported options. This is likely the 1.0 version and will be available for a limited period for testing and general feedback.

Known issues of the current version:

    > Both Succubus and Ningheim races must have the claws crafted, the current OneWinged20 implementation didn't quite work with those races and a solution is underway but at this moment the users of these races must craft the claws in a blacksmithing forge.

    > There is no official support for the SSE yet but the mod should work without any special procedure required, though it is advised to run a NIF optimizer for the meshes and load it in the new CK 2 to save the ESP in the new format if you intend to port it to your personal game.

    - - More issues will be added as users report them.

Letter from WingedOne20 regarding the current implementation

A new (and hopefully improved) version of Vampires Fight With Claws has been uploaded to the main file section. This new version does not require crafting or equipping claws to your character after becoming a vampire. This is accomplished by adding the claws armor addon to the SkinNaked armor entry and listing vampire races as the only ones to use the armor addon. This has the added bonus of no longer requiring individual vampire NPCs or outfits to be edited by the plug-in, so compatibility is simpler than ever. This new version will only conflict with mods that edit Skyrim's non-beast vampire races after USLEEP.

    Known Issues:
-Claws are not applied to certain Dawnguard NPCs who are not defined as vampires by the Dawnguard.esm (for example, Serana and Lord Harkon). They could have the claws added to their outfits as was done in previous iterations, but for now I've decided to leave them be for the sake of simplicity and compatibility with other mods. If demand for a version to give them claws presents itself, I'll see if I can figure out a better solution.
-Currently the claws clip through full-fingered gloves, but I'm not really happy with the appearance of the claws anyway and am hoping to find a skilled mesh artist/editor who can make them part of the hand .nifs to solve this problem. This will mean, however, that the mod will be incompatible with any body replacers that replace the original hand meshes.

This new version is the love child of previous VFWC work and the twisted mind of a new presence on the Skyrim modding scene, onewinged20 (also the one writing this new updated description. Hi.)

Common issues and how to fix | workaround | identify them.
    Spoiler:
    Show

1 - Claws not showing in first person:
    - The 49 - unnamed slot was lost during the load due to another mod overwriting the VFWC race records. Need a simple edit in TES5Edit, video detailing the procedure available in the description.

2 - Unarmed attacks are closed fist | vanilla punch:
    - The keyword add was lost during the load, same problem as with #1.

    3 - Can't find the colored claws
    - They are available as addons in the Main File FOMOD or under optionals. They need to be crafted and work just like any accessory.

4 - Whenever I install VFWC something goes wrong with my vampire(unexpected eyes and/or skin changes i.e.)
    - This is the most common issue and it is due to the way the mod is implemented. It is poor when it comes to compatibility because I have edited the race records, what is a very common procedure but will likely interfere with users load orders. I'm sorry for that, but I couldn't find a better way. If you have any suggestion/advice towards the improvement of the mod you are welcome to post in tis section and I'll reply once I'm able. In any case, proceed as instructed on issue #1, detect which mod is overwriting VFWC with TES5Edit and report here for a patch request. Thank you.

For someone who tries to use both "Vampire Thirst" and "Vampires Fight With Claws"
If you check the option which lets your vampire look normal race in Vampire Thirst, it would make VFWC disabled. I don't know why though.

Interesting mod! I was thinking of tree perks to update the claws in human form for an unarmed vampire build.

Additionally, I have changed the unarmed sound effects of these attacks from WpnZUnarmedImpactSet to the FXMeleeClawSmall sound set, so you'll hear clawing sounds found within the game assets and that suit the animation perfectly.

Just a heads-up for those, who have missing impact sound when fighting draugr unarmed.

It’s because of FXMeleeClawSmall sound set. Only draugrs have missing impact sound.
There’s no issues I found with the rest of NPC’s. Btw, I have Dawnguard DLC.

I use this mod for clawing sounds & animations  Unarmed Sounds and Animations for Vampires

@mod author, thanks for mentioning that you made this change, otherwise I would never have found out your mod caused it.

Anyway to get this to work on regular human characters? I want the claws and the animation, but not to be a vampire?
