If you would like to pick and choose what males you do or don't want, please use the TES5Edit for now. A video tutorial is on the description page. If you need to delete any FaceGen files, the following are the respective NPC IDs:
If you would like to change the hair, please read the "How to change the hair on NPC" section on the ApachiiSkyHair mod. Remember to open the Males of Skyrim mod as well in the CK.
If you're having trouble with the hair not showing up correctly as the ApcahiiSkyHair, try putting this mod's .esp file lower in your load order.
It could be compatible, actually, if you copy/paste SOS malebody_0 and malebody_1 files into Males of Skyrim Mesh/Actors/Character/MS/Body folder, and same with SOS/Textures/Actor/Character/Male files (malebody and malehands .dds files into Males of Skyrim Texures/Actors/Character/MS/Body folder. If you use a mod installer, you can previously unzip the mods files, then do the copy/paste process I mention, and then zip the files again in order to install them. I did it with Vectorplexus Sam Light (02Cut or 02Uncut malebody_0 and malebody_1 files go to Mesh/.../MS/Body folder, and also gotta paste the 00Required Mesh malefeet files into Mesh/.../MS/Body folder. Then all Sam Light malebody & malehands texture files go into MS Texture Body folder. This way, Sam Light and MS are working fine for me together (Males of Skyrim is loaded lower than all my SAM Light body stuff in my Mod List), and I think doing the same thing with SOS is pretty possible. I tested SOS with MS, and yes, if you do not copy/paste the files I've mentioned, your MS guys will end up with 2 genit... one from MS and one from SOS. And if you use Sam Light with MS, and don't do the process I've just described, your MS guys will have the wrist gap and a soft pen... unable to harden. I love this MS mod, but it's a pity that the creator didn't make a version without a body replacer.
To add to that - if you still have some problems with "neck seam" you need to open console, click on character with neck seam problem, type "setnpcweight 25", "disable", "enable" and everything should be fine now. ;)
For those wanting this ported to SE, I went ahead and did it and you can download it here.
I did not test this! All I did was resave the esp in CK and ran the meshes through Nif Optimizer. If you encounter a darkface bug it's because you have another mod that changes the same character. The solution is to open the esp in SSEedit of the mod with the changed character that you do not want and remove that character. Take note of the ID listed in the sticky post and go into the facegeom folder and delete the facegen file with the ID and then go into the texture folder and delete the texture with the same ID. Rezip the file and you are good to go.
There are plenty of tutorials out there that will tell you how to remove a character in SSEedit. There's an explanation here in the first sticky post. If that doesn't explain the process enough, go to YouTube and see what's there.
Edit: I just now noticed. There is a video in the description of this page showing how to use TES5Edit. You'd need SSEEdit for the converted esp plugin but the process is the same, basically.
Ty for this! You're a lifesaver! I'm reinstalling mods on a new computer and I did not want to download and install CK to convert this one again. It seems to be working perfectly btw. Just tested it on an old save on the new machine.
Thanks for the SE conversion, it's working fine. I just wonder about the USSEP but I think it's worth the risk.
There's no problem in having two mods (like Males of Skyrim + Pandorable Males) modifying the same characters, as long as the mod at the bottom of the load order doesn't get its files replaced by the other. I load Males of Skyrim before Pandorable's Males, so I let Pandorable's overwrite.
Many thanks Laura. <3 I've been a new Skyrim fan since July and thanks to you I've installed Men of Winter, your port of Males of Skyrim and Pandorable's Males 1/2 since then.
I need to add to the rest - thank you and original creator very much! It's the best mod for males in Skyrim, I am starting my first playthrough in Anniversary Edition and I played only LE before, so I am downloading all of my mods for SE. I started to began being distressed when I notice that there is not the SE version for this mod, but then I found your comment. <3
There is only a Steam version for LE. Are you using SE/AE by chance because the "Skyrim" pages on Nexus are for LE. (Asking because you pointed out Steam)
Hello guys! Need your help. How can I remove textures of the body from this mod and replace it by another? I really like the faces, but bodies and theirs.... XD So, I want to replace it, but don't know how
I've been trying to re-export the facegen for the guys in this mod with vanilla hair so they can use the wonderful High Poly Vanilla Hair, but doing so seems to revert their faces to their vanilla proportions. It's the most immediately obvious with Ralof: he loses those kind eyes and his nose gets huge. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Most of the heads if not all are sculpted in RaceMenu so re-exporting their facegen in CK is not going to do it. You will need to change the hair by editing the head nif of individual npcs in nifskope or try to import the head into RaceMenu via the sculpt tab and edit from there.
