    Regarding Skyrim Special Edition:
I will not be porting this to SSE. I will, however, include a key ring option in the variation of my Inventory Management System mod that I may port to SSE.

The main title image shows all the components. The other images are simply the unedited images used in the main title composition. I had wanted to include a video as that would be the best means of showcasing the mod. Unfortunately that did not seem to go so well, at least not as good as what I have seen for other mods.

Should someone wish to offer up a video showcasing this mod, I would be more than happy to link it.

A fantastic little mod that solves a major problem with the game with not needing to avoid getting keys in order to pick the locks.

Ishara you said you don't want to port the mod.
It was privately ported for me, do you just want to have the ported or do you allow me to upload it myself with a reference to it?

    I have a recent issue:
Every now and then I get teleported to Jorgen and Lami`s house (inside, or right outside the door). Even if I`m in the cave or a house at the moment.
And it happens randomly (not because of any action, I can just stand in one place, and suddenly ...BAM! I see his ugly mug again).
I don`t know how to stop it.

    NVM
I removed all the keys from the ring, and then added them again.
    It worked for me.

Since there seems to be no bug report section, ill just put this here, selecting "search for key" will send you back and forth between the cell and the previous cell. You get stuck in a teleport loop and you can only exit by spamming the console key and typing qqq, also if you select it then go into any cell, you will be teleported across the world and be unable to get back due to all the autosaves it will make while looping you all over skyrim. If you want to use this mod, dont ever use the "search for key" option its horribly broken, just use the add/remove key.

Is it possible for an option to auto search for key when trying to open a door? Maybe a menu "do you want to search for this door key?" to still leave lockpicking option?
Or auto-search for the key only if not sneaking, that way thieves still can auto-have the option to pick lock?

else thanks for the mod, it's truly great and it allow for such a cleaner inventory

You should try the key ring option within my Inventory Management System (IMS) mod. While it doesn't have a menu asking you if you want to pick the lock or search for the key, it does use a single hotkey to interact with everything. When using the hotkey on a locked object, it will search for the key and use it if found. When using the normal activation key, one can still lock the pick even if they have the key in the IMS's key ring.

Sadly, this has become a broken and abandoned mod. I have also started to get the "random teleport glitch". No amount of key swapping and dropping has fixed the issue.

Broken? Maybe, I've already stated that this was incorporated into another mod with improvements.
Abandoned? Not really, I'm still around. I've simply never encountered any such issues but then I've not been using THIS version.

And as far as the other version in the other mod, I'm in the process of rebuilding said mod to take advantage of newer and better scripting methods. The key ring in all likelihood will be vastly improved and with less features since the new method avoids trying to intercept normal activation.

I have had your key ring mod something over a year and I have developed an.......issue. For some reason it has only now developed (actually somewhere around 4-5 mos. ago) a compatibly issue. When (and only when I acquire Breezehome. any Breezehome) I develop an teleport problem. I can be anywhere and hear the sound of a door and then I teleport to just inside Breezehome as if walking thru the door. Tracking this down took much time ( no doubt due to the quality of your construction ) and in retrospect some hair. In summation does any one know of a similar mod? I really, really hate having keys litter my inventory.

So, once you buy Breezehome you seemingly get teleported randomly back to Breezehome? Does this happen on a new game? Could it be possible that at some point you tried to open the door and for whatever reason it did not work? If so, it could possibly be that the script engine is bogged down and puts it on hold then later when things free up you finally get to enter.

I doubt it is specifically this mod but rather a combination of one or more other mods that are not playing well with this one. If you are using a mod manager with profiles, try a new game with just this mod ( & USKP patches if you wish) to see if it can be replicated.

An alternative would be the key ring found within my Inventory Management System mod. Everything is optional so if you just want the key ring, then just use it. There is a bit of improvement to how it functions but the underlying core is in a nutshell, this mod.

Hello and hey there. New game, old game and even reformatting my pc. My problem was/is a masterpiece of duplicity. It seemingly hid behind other mods ( the last being JK's Skyrim towns and cities ). I never made the connection (until the very end) that it was Breezehome that was causing such angst,

I tend to use a large load ( I currently have somewhere around 350 mods ) and while not running completely as butter its hiccups are tiny and almost unnoticeable. I do agree that it is a combination of mods and yours was the just the one that I stumbled onto ( I mean really, who wudda thunk) and I cast no aspersions on this o so wonderful creation of yours ( see, proper deference is given! ), I am just a smarta** by nature.

Ive been eyeing your inventory mod lately and i will give it a try on my next (or maybe next, next) go thru.

      Thank you.

I know this is an old post, but I have this exact issue but with a modded home just outside of Whiterun (Skyfall Estate). I've been using this key ring for a while with no issues but when I started a new game last night I acquired this home (which I've also used before with no issues) and BAM! whenever I rest or sleep anywhere I'm teleported back to Skyfall estate. It makes doing anything a little difficult if I can't rest or wait...

I was even walking through the middle of Whiterun and got teleported back to Skyfall Estate.

The reason I think they're connected is because I remember seeing notifications that the key for Skyfall estate had been found when my player was not at the door of the estate -- like he was walking on the road from Skyfall Estate towards Whiterun. I'm gonna try few things -- like removing the key from the ring -- and see if that helps. If that doesn't help, I'll see if there's some other mod that might be conflicting with the modded home and some others that are making this mod act wonky, but I just wanted to make you aware that this isn't an isolated issue.

ETA: Just to clarify... I started the game a couple of days ago. I acquired the home last night, and that's when the fun began.

Taking the key to the house off of the key ring appears to have done the trick. No more weird teleporting issues. Just so's you know.

Oh great goobers ghost, I could almost kiss you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have missed this mod from the first day that I was without it, and now you have made us whole once more ( creepy huh?).

      So far so good.

      THANK YOU!

so i can see would clean up the inventory, but does the ring work like a multilocational key? or would you have to take the key you want off the ring and use it?

It figures out what key you would need and gets it for you. However, you do have the option of manually getting the key too.
