I don't know if the author is still active but to anyone who sees this and knows how could you port this to Special Edition? Because just putting the mod in SE without reconfiguring it makes the jewels disappear in third person.

i saw on Millennium ENB an alduin with green glow wich looks fantastic, so i wanted to ask if it was included in your mod or selfmade, because i cant read anywhere on your page something about selectable color.

Can you make a version that it replaces Odahviing instead of Alduin? Thanks

I would really like to make my own personal variant blue glowing alduin in place of the red glow, but when loading up the texture files in GIMP, all I see are semi-transparent, grey scale images. I admit, in all my texture editing time i'v never run into one like this. There is no color anywhere to edit it -seems-. How would I edit the glow color? Thanks.

it's quite simple, the glow color come from the .nif file, not from the .DDS. (in this case, it can be diffrent in another glow technique)
in another words, the glow color is determined by the 3D object properties.

i'll explain you the functioning of glow mapping, you will quickly understand i'm sure...

in order to create a glow effect on skyrim, you need 2 textures and one 3D object
      -Base texture (looks like: alduin.dds)
      -Glow map texture (alduin_g.dds)
      -3D object (alduin.nif)

imagine that, the 3D object is emiting light. then the base texture act like an opaque film. even if in your 3D object properties, you have set the light emmission to max, the base texture will cover it.
so, how to make visible this light emited by 3D model? we use the glow map texture to define wich zone of the texture will be "enlightened".
it act like a "layer", a "mask" with holes. every zone who's not black on a glow map, means it's a zone who emite light (the black percentage define the intensity of mask)
so the zone wich are supposed to be red glow on my alduin, can only be seen in the " _g.dds". but, there, you can only define the intensity of the mask. (it can be red, like the color you see in game, but in fact glow map is only a black 'n white texture, and the game only understand that)

the 2 ways to choose light is:
-coloring the texture in the same zone than the glow map, and set object properties light emmision to white
-setting the color directly in object properties, define the zone on glow map, and editing a bit the base texture (ereasing or fading some zone, to enhance the effect)
      i use the 2nd technic.
i stop explaination for now, i've made a nice tuto, who will give you all details about this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7069/?
i hope this first explaination will help you, and read carefully my tuto. then glow mapping will have no more secret for you (in skyrim)

if you have any question, come back here as soon as you want

Wondering if there's any standalone file that doesn't include the "Sparta" sword.

Unfortunately I'm not fond of adding 3rd party weapons into my game, and would very much rather use this mod without it.

In either case, great mod. Endorsed for your time. Thank you.

i realy don't get the point, the weapon won't pop in front of your char and waste your game pleasure, you can simply ignore it.

by the way, everything in this mod is "3rd party" exept 3d model of armor..., so this line is still a real mistery for me.

i think you are afraid of something, but let me help you on this: there is nothing in this mod that can hurt your game, or kill the "lore" more than the glow effect already does. All the stuff is in a hided container, the only way to see it, without using cheat version, is to look at the smithing bench. the 3D model of weapon is clear, and textures are made by me so no risk from there.

i need to redo the esp to achieve your reqest, i'll do it on next release, who's not dated. but for now, i hope the weapon won't boring you to much because i won't make a standalone for now.

PS: this is "Sparda" weapon (from devil may cry) not "Sparta" weapon. tons of person's make confusion when they see sparda (thanks to 300 the film).

btw: thank you for endorsement. you rewarded me..., and maybe i look like i'm not happy, but it's just that i'm french and i'm not pro in sentence construction. i'm fully occupied since few month, but i will do a last update, and i'll try to make it stand alone.
