Kudos on your first foray into modding and I thank you for the time you invested in this mod. However.....is there a shortcut where daggers are simply 'treated' as swords? Looking for a dagger clipping fix that does not affect the skeleton aye.
Could someone help me? Every time (when Custom dagger position is installed with nmm) i try to load a game, it ctd...I use cbbe with bbp using cherry hotaling's mod for the animation, and closer quivers from Closer quivers and longer arrows for having quivers more near my character back...
cool! glad i found this. tried some mods positioning the dagger on the back, but didn't like them. then tried to do what you did here, but apparently failed where you succeeded.
so, thx, will try this once i get back home.
edit: okay, using vampire armor, the daggers are a bit too far away from the "belt", which looks kinda odd in normal stance on males. still an improvement over vanilla heavy clipping, but could use some tweaking. for the time being, i think i'll just use real swords anyway, thanks for making this, will endorse.
I really wish there was an easier way to combine two different skeleton nif files. I hate the default position Bethesda has for the daggers. Far too many clipping issues. I wanna use this mod so badly, but I already have a bow and arrow repositioning skeleton. >.<
Exactly! Don't you hate that? Happens to me all the time when two mods I want to co-exist but can't.
I am sorry, I'd try to make something like that but I am really new to modding and I have a lot more to learn if I want to start changing the bow and arrows too, but I will eventually try I guess.
That would certainly be epic. The sword, axe, greatsword and mace all seem okay, but the knife, bow, arrows, bolts and crossbows are all very misplaced, and don't work very well with some armors, not to mention things like backpacks or any other clothing placed on the back tend to clip very badly with those weapons. I would really like to see a mod that repositioned all of them to better fit for many different styles of apparel. Unfortunately even if you did make a skeleton like that, you'd likely hear no end of requests to make the skeleton compatible with a boob jiggling mod, or something equally difficult to create.
Because if you use Closer quivers and longer arrows mod it should be compatible. This mod only modifies the quivers and bolts nif instead of skeleton nif.
If you use well placed weapons and quivers however, there's would be some work needed. However, since the author has the green light for people to go ahead and mod his assets (in his description), I will see what I can do.

Unfortunately the mod I use for my bow and arrows is no longer on the Nexus, nor can I find it anywhere else. The modder just seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth. It was called, "Sajuukdeaths bow and quiver location for back packs." A nice mod that positions the quivers to the side, and the bows to appear as if they hang off of the quivers. It uses a skeleton mesh, so it wouldn't be compatible. If you're interested in its mesh, I can email you a copy of mine.
I have a similar issue with the incompatibility of this mod, but this is exactly the type of fix I need for my character's skeleton. I'm currently using UNPB body for TBBP by SkullyTyrant meshes over CHSBHC-BBP's skeleton and the dagger position is embedded into my character's leg like some strange sort of synthetic biotechnology for built-in weapons.
Using this now - that always bugged me to no end. I use a custom race mod (made myself) along with a 1st person camera mod that is scaled to a larger size and nice to know your skeleteon.nif does not conflict - uses different assets. I was worried the dagger would be floating down by knees since my scale is 1.2 but it is positioned perfectly. So pretty cool!
