With this mod I get a duplicate black crop on every plant. Maybe because this needs to be converted to SE, but there are no models or textures in the mod so it's a bit strange.

can you still "work" for farmers?

that is, is there still some method of harvesting crops for the farmer in exchange for money?

I know it is an old post nevertheless just to answer it: no you cannot. Crops were made owned that invalidates those quests. Farmers will not buy stolen goods and may attack you on site. It was a stupid quest in my opinion anyway to resell the crops to the farmers.

Old post but if you use Better Stealing I assume this can be circumvented as the crops dont stay stolen if youre not caught.

As has already been said, this is an older post, however I wanted to add my "2 cents" and answer the above questions.

With this mod installed, crops are now considered stolen when taken. In addition, If using "Better Stealing", crops are still considered to be stolen when taken however will not be listed in your inventory as stolen if you take them without being seen. Further to this, while this statement is true there is a clause; like with some other items/quests in game, if you are "friends" with the owner of the crops, you can still pick them as though playing without this mod installed.

For example, when trying out this mod, I went to Pelagia Farm and sold a cabbage to Severio Pelagia. Once he had purchased the cabbage, all his crops could be taken without being considered stolen (like in vanillia Skyrim). I reloaded and went back to Pelagia Farm, this time without selling Severio anything. Now, all his crops were considered stolen if taken and the mod works as intended.

Personally, I like this approach. If you want to work for the farm, sell the owner crops first to "friend" him, which will in turn "unlock" his crops for the taking. If you don't want to be able to access the crops unless you steal them, simple don't sell anything to the owner. Of course, using "Better Stealing" gives you a whole different approach as described above.

I hope this clears things up a bit :-)

I am aware this is ancient now but Axel, its actually realistic since in the real world, back in the middle ages and other less advanced periods, farmers would pay you to help them on the farm.

Plus your not "reselling" your being paid for your labor, AKA like being an employee how about you go harvest an entire farms worth of crops on your own? You'll be demanding money. And your barely paid s#*! for each crop so, your being paid properly for the time, after all its not like your helping farm the crops, your just helping during harvest time.

But it is stupid that you can take an entire harvest from every farm in skyrim and no one says "wait, where's our- that little mother f-" that is the only stupid part, and the quest should of been that they teleport behind you and start a convo if you try to leave with the crops after harvesting even ONE. Where then you can say an excuse, give them the crops, attack them, or well theres other options but I can't think of any more right now its 1:33am.

    Nice mod, endorsed!

Would it be possible to make a version for the Dragonborn DLC (the Ash Yams in Raven Rock and the vegetables in the Skaal Village)?

    Thanks in advance

    Keep up the good work!

I had the same idea for this mod but why did you have to change barrels around? All I want is the crops to count as stealing...
