Yes, I intend to create a Skyrim SE version of this mod and upload it to bethesda.net for the console guys. Also looking into a PS4-friendly design for those that got screwed by Sony.

I'm recommending this mod over the other. SWIFT may have better positioning like everyone harps about, but I find the implementation to be unnecessarily complicated. Trying to tie out the Souless bit of story from ESO to a wayshrine network here on Skyrim, despise it having ancient falmer architecture, which would clash directly with the wayshrines form Forgotten Vale that neve rneeded such a thing, plus the soul gem requirement, which conflicts HARD on what would the old falmer think about soul gems to begin with thanks to the dwemers... Yyyyyyeah, tried too hard to not make the whole thing too cheap for the player, and it became a lore snowball going downhill.

Here, it's much more simpler. Skyrim was the homeland of the falmers as we all know, so they left their wayshrines sealed when they were invaded. There's whispers of a spell to undo the seals. That's it, that's all. No attempt to rewrite official sources or anything. Fits nicely with what was told before just because it's unintrusively small. No complicated resource management, no debuffs, no need to be a soul harvester if your character wants nothing to do with magic or the like, no danger to have Molag Bal over your shoulder because of you using this teleport network... All good.

Another reason I'm giving this mod my vote over SWIFT, is how despise it being rather old and unattended, the author still gone out of their way to move the wayshrines away from locations occupied by other mods. Specifically, not only the Heljarchen one, covered in the mod's description, but also Winterhold's, which is placed nicely enough to the side of a shrine of Stendarr added by Agent of Righteous Might. Unlike the other mod, which conflicts directly with an ayleid well placed by The Tools of Kagrenac. Granted, this was solved... In the SE version... And left as-is, abandoned, here on Oldrim. So yes, more props to WoT.

Regarding the journal from the Bannered Mare not giving you the quest. Quicksave before reading it (or just load the Autosave from when you entered the inn) and insist a little bit. Tested this method enough times to know it works. In fact I'd recommend you to do so even in case you don't have the glitch in order to shuffle its location, given how the quest can and probably WILL send you to search for the spell on another quest mod's territory, even if you have no way to reach it currently.

I agree with others about moving them to more remote locations but maybe a little better than swift due to the difficulty in reaching them, I also suggest more "middle of no where" ones to fill empty space in the middle of the reach or the pale or winterhold, and maybe a quest similar to the later game one in that but less lazy with a cool small worldspace to go to in the future

One possibility being to place some near the places in other Snow Elf mods - Falmeroon and Much Ado About Snow Elves/Dragonborn Gallery. If I knew where to start, I'd be willing to shift them. (I'd also be willing to add them to New Lands)

    Hi Steve,
I'm not sure if it is a bug or am I just missing something, I have found and read the journal but I got no quest, is there a command to activate the quest?

I found the book behind the Bannered Whiterun but there was no sign of any quest starts. I am stuck here with a book showing me a map that I don't know what to do with.

In response to all of the comments saying "try SWIFT instead of this wayshrine mod" which seems to comprise the majority of the most recent posts: I have tried both, and personally found that this one is, to my way of thinking, better implemented and less gimmicky. Unless I'm running a fast travel only playthrough, which I do every once in a while, this mod is a must have for me.

Thank you for creating a great mod and making it available for players to use.

Endorsed. Superior to SWIFT in everything except for aesthetic placement. I don't count the quests in (abandonware) SWIFT because they seem to be borked for newer installations (USLEEP issue?) and when I set the MCM to complete all the quests that left 65 orphan scripts and odd behavior even after cleaning. Had to abandon that playthrough.

Thank you for the great work!

Endorsed. Love this mod. I understand why some may think it a bit more lore-friendly to put these in out of the way locations, but I got this mod for convenient, quick travel, and it fits the bill perfectly. I think the locations you've chosen are lore-friendly enough. Well done.

seems not to be compatible with pilgrims delight as causes graphical glitches near high hrothgar and the tablets float and other stuf!

Hey there, this is a great mod and I've been using it in all my subsequent playthroughs for a while now but I had a suggestion I wanted to run by you, I don't know if this would be a bit much to ask but... Do you think you could add a death alternative option which would respawn the player at the closest Wayshrine and lose 25% (or a configurable percentage) of Gold when they die like in ESO? I would try making this myself but I have no idea how to make the player respawn at a different wayshrine depending on where they died, or how to take away a percentage of gold instead of a finite amount

I definitely prefer Wayshrines of Tamriel over SWIFT, but SWIFT has one (sort of) thing that I do miss here - the optional addons for other world-spaces, like Wyrmstooth, Falskaar, etc. Some of them I don't miss too much - The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal has a teleport spell, so that's not a problem to live without - but I do miss having a quick way to nip to Falskaar or the Summerset Isles (And it'd be nice to have a Beyond Skyrim - Bruma Wayshrine too).
Could there be similar optionals like that here?
