The good news is that this mod appears to be compatible with SSE. Simply download the mod using NMM (I used Vortex in this instance) and Install/Enable it for SSE and you'll have access to the armor. Woohoo!
The bad news is that no amount of finagling allowed me to properly render in the hood, which means the "Exiled Blades Helmet" armor piece is unusable, cosmetically at least. The helmet itself is wearable, but, aside from perhaps manually placing the textures in the right place, there seems to be no way to add the Fur Hoods HD.
Tried installing Fur Hoods HD and leaving it un-enabled, as per @bigdeano89 's comment about it only needing to be downloaded and not enabled. I tried enabling the mod. I also tried "Northborn Fur Hoods" (the SSE version) as well as "Immersive Armors" (the SSE version), but alas no luck.
Manually adding the textures to your directory may work, but I haven't had a chance to test this yet.
That said, this mod DOES (mostly) work for SSE. I've not done any extended bug/script testing, so make sure to back up your saves before making any attempts. :)
EDIT: Almost forgot. "Immersive Armors for SSE" does have a lovely selection of different colored fur hoods in various armor types (heavy, light, unarmored) that are available. They look exactly the same, the textures just don't work. Unfortunately, this means you wouldn't be able to benefit from Matching Set, but you would still get the neat fur hood look. You also wouldn't have the mask, but there is "Face Masks of Skyrim" which should be compatible. PICTURES FOR REFERENCE!
Please, keep the mod like it is. The armor on females is actually quite realistic, as you really don't need a breastplate that is taken too literally as being the exact shape.
Hey man, love the armor! I would like to add a few bits of info for folks: The required hoods mod doesnt actually need to be activated, only installed. It can be unticked if you are running out of space, it only needs the meshes and textures. Also, After installing amidianborns blades and steel textures i found that both work perfectly with your mod. I know some folks were asking if it worked or not, so yeah! I know you have probably moved on to other mods, but im endorsing anyway, love it!
please consider putting this armor someplace that is easier to get to. don't like having to do the main story just to get the armor. or just make it craftable under steel
