original with hd pack looked like goo or plastic, frankly horrible, this mod fixes it and makes it look like bones thank you for this edit : it keeps the pastic-ey look I know but honestly i just tried arvak rewritten and I do not like at all the flames effect on it it's over the top too much effect for me looks like a "bound horse"
Think if they still have it up, grab the classic download on their page. You'll want the Soul Cairn version one if you want dark bones with the purple flames. In my screenshots, you can see the difference between their mesh (the Arvak in Riverwood picture) and vanilla's. They fixed some issues with the plastic look for instance.
Check out my description for the link, but I've now got colored flames and a version of arvak without flames. Five colors to choose from, as well as the original arvak without flames.
Thank you. If there were some fairy princess deathlord in the game I'm sure she'd love the vanilla color, but not me or my vampire. ;-) This is much nicer.

edit : it keeps the pastic-ey look I know but honestly i just tried arvak rewritten and I do not like at all the flames effect on it it's over the top too much effect for me looks like a "bound horse"
Old nordic looking armor or maybe iron/steel would be awesome, I'm not sure anything else would fit...
