It has been a while since I have posted anything or made any updates to the page to reflect the work I have done. I just want everyone to know that I am still working on it although work may be slow. I have completed most of the static updates and room creation. I am in the process right now of creating the quest line to rebuild the castle. To let everyone know, the player will get to recruit personnel in the world of Skyrim to fill spots such as a blacksmith, Steward, General, Etc. it is going slow due to complications and me having to learn every step of the way. I have gotten recent orders to report to a new duty station by the end of the year in lieu of going to school for 3 months in route. My wife is almost due and I also had to drop my 4 year old child to his biological mother not to mention I am currently in a unit deactivating (yay go sequestration!). I am also taking 2 college courses right now while working full time. So needless to say my life is busy and full of excitement. I have totally redone the war room. Once it becomes available again players will see dramatic changes. There will also be a very large cell introduced with 2.0 that is massive. It is the Dungeon and plays a big role in a castle’s daily functions. This one will not be any different and I will try to include some very nifty options for the player to interact with. Something also in store for those who are on the darker side of things… Once the player has completely rebuilt the castle and staffed it, it will be like a huge interior city. Every NPC will have some type of interaction with the castle and a schedule. There may even be some options these NPC’s can offer the player. Right now though, most dialogue will not be voiced. It is only me working it and I figure everyone in the castle doesn’t deserve to have the same voice. Some choices will be given to the player to decide who he or she decides will fill the spot in the castle. Some instances will be automatically determined based off decisions made in the main quest line or civil war portion of vanilla Skyrim. Basically, everything you do to rebuild the castle the player will have the deciding factor whether directly or indirectly. There will be some that the player will recruit that really are not a decision but just to go out and recruit. I will try to leave as little interaction with the vanilla world as possible so as to not break the game for other mods. If time permits, once all these changes are made I will start on my next big update that will incorporate more functions for the player to do within the castle. Not all changes may be listed below, I am just listed from what I can remember I have done. Some of the new cells were a tasking to build that took several weeks to complete. Version 2.0 changes done so far:
1. Added navmesh to following cells: GreatHall Entryway GreatHall Throneroom Greathall Dzulfith Kitchen Dzulfith Kitchen staff Quarters Dzulfith Dining Room Upper Hall Display Room Dzulfith Dungeon Exterior cells: Ancient Hjal Area and Castle Entrance
2. Created new cells: Greathall Servant Services Dzulfith Castle Dungeon Dzulfith Barracks Dzulfith Barracks, Commanding General Quarters Dzulfith Barracks, CSM Quarters
3. Added guards with shifts to the following cells: Greathall Greathall Entryway Ancient Hjal and Castle Entrance
4. Added Servants throughout interior
5. Made major static improvements to the following cells: Greathall Greathall Entryway Dzulfith Dining Hall West Wing Arboretum Entrance
6. Added Kitchen staff and waiters with Head chef to Dzulfith kitchen and dining hall
7. Created Quest line to start rebuilding the castle. Player will work to bring personnel into the castle to include a steward, blacksmith, castle champion, Kitchen staff, guards and soldiers, servants, and many more!
Other major changes coming in 2.0: -Navmesh throughout the castle! -Several structural changes to existing cells to improve the look and feel of the castle as well as usability to NPC's and player. - Several new Cells created (as well as some existing being activated) to improve usability of NPC's and players. - and much much more!!
Best of luck with the current trails in your life my friend. I am more than looking forward to you getting back into this mod I think its one of the best of its kind.

Where the hell is this place? I can't seem to find it. I've been looking northwest of Whiterun for like a week (in-game) and can't seem to find it. Been waiting for the quest to trigger and nothing. I was really really looking forward to this castle. I was highly impressed by all the images and the video and the whole nine yards and getting all excited to have one of my characters live in this castle, and it's not even on the map...can't be found anywhere. I even traveled all the way around whiterun and found myself everyplace else other than this castle. Why no image of where it's located on a map or something? Does this mod even work to begin with?
Hey I tried sleeping in several beds, from modded homes, rented beds, to vanilla houses. I cant figure out how to start the quest, I do have the quest version... Any ideas on how to solve this?
played this a while ago and its one of the best castles out there,but my guess it wont get finished.to answer your question no paper map but there is a map once your inside.great mod
Well all understand your business. Real Life > Virtual Life. But, after testing nearly all comparable Castle Mods, yours is by far the best. It is so good, that it must be finished. If you would be so kind and post the files of your current work status, i will finish this mod. The credits will always be yours, because the main work and the ideas are yours. It doesnt matter if its finished in days, weeks or years, but it MUST be finished!
I'm afraid this mod got abandon but if not and he is just busy I say its best to give this mod off to someone to finish it. Its almost been a year now.
When I follow the ghost back to the castle entrance he just stands there. I have reloaded the game and even redid the entire quest a couple of times, but every time he just stands at the door.
Hi,i know you said you were still working on the mod in may of this year,the mod is awesome ive never seen found another castle/house mod like this,but i would like to know if you are still working on the mod,as it has been a while since i last heard about it,the year is just about to end and i want to know if there is still a chance to see the mod shine again,love your work kane,just want to know if there is some hope for the mod,obviously recommend you to put your life in first place and the finish the mod,thx for the attention.
