"Realistic" does not mean "worse". The game's movement speed was already extremely unrealistically slow, with player characters capping out at a top speed of 6.87m/s. Average sprinting speed is... 7.5m/s, measured in a country with an obesity rate of 35.7%, without any aid from adrenaline. Healthy people will be faster than that, and everybody is faster when the chips are down, so 10m/s and up would be an actual realistic running speed. That is, realism is faster, not slower, and this run speed is not worse for the sake of realism, it's worse for the sake of being worse.
Sure, sure.. Let's act like people wearing armor can be marathon runners. For wearing armor typically as heavy/thick/cumbersome as is shown in game, the vanilla running speed is too fast. Your comment is dumb and ignorant for the sake of being dumb and ignorant.
I have to agree with Seattleite. I came to this mod thinking "finally I won't move like a snail but like a human being". And this mod makes the snail even slower. :)
For those of you that think that this mod is making things too slow. You're completely right. In full plate armour a man can move just as well as an unarmoured man and very nearly as fast. https://youtu.be/qzTwBQniLSc Here's a short video proving this.
yep, definetly realistic...finally bulky armor People wont chase me(with light armor) and catch me afterwards….and im not sonic anymore...thx for puplishing this mod !
Would like to point out conflicts of Realistic Running Speed with either or both the following mods: SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators -- depending on your load order, RRS loses or wins over SkyTEST in several NPC records (movement speed entries). Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim -- depending on your load order, RRS loses or wins over Wildcat in several NPC records (movement speed entries).
Hi, nice mod, but i'm still looking for a mod that will slowly make me lose stamina while running. I have an other mod that makes me walk faster so i can walk while in combat. To complete my difficulty setting, i need a mod that will make me lose stamina while running too.
Skyrim Redone. Fantastic mod, not as incompatible as people sometimes claim because of the reproccer and bashed patch. But if you don't want that i think duel - combat realism adds stamina drain to running and attacking.
I know this is a really late post but Fighting Fatigue does that, it also has stamina drain for swinging weapons, bow draw, stealth, swimming, etc. Give it a look if you want.
