Changelogs
Version 1.3
- Added a little alcove with a shrine of Kynareth, but there still is a shrineless version available (see below)
- There are now four different versions of this mod: The full version has a shrine and two mannequins. In the other versions, either the shrine or the mannequins or both are missing. (impemented due to people requesting a shrine and a mannequinless version)
- Followers will now enter Sylvanheim with you (fixed NavMesh)
- Turned around the chest by the enchanter that was facing backwards
- Updated the description to be more, well, descriptive...
- Moved the lantern in the workshop area out of the way. No more bonking your head! Also added another lantern to illuminate the workbench
- Rewrote Sees-Beneath-The-Skin's Testament
- Removed the bloodstain beneath Sees-Beneath-The-Skin's corpse (because the corpse despawns after a while, but the bloodstain lingers forever and i didn't like that)
- Rearranged some rocks and plants, but not much
Version 1.2
Eliminated (hopefully) all remaining clipping issues
Repositioned the weapon racks to prevent really long weapons from clipping into the ceiling
Some more plants added, some rocks changed (details)
Version 1.1
Grrr, that is really bugging me: The corpse with the note near the entrance does not always show up. I decided to place the note next to him instead of in his inventory, so everyone at least gets to read it. But it still sucks
Second mannequin added
Another equipment chest added: Now one for weapons, one for armor
I wanted a refuge for my Dragonborn. Something hidden, cozy and calm, but also a bit mysterious and gloomy. And also immersive and lore-friendly. A place away from the all those dragons, elves, soldiers, monsters that are out to kill poor Dovahkiin. This is the result of this idea:
Sylvanheim is an small underground refuge located near Riverwood. You can access it by entering a huge old tree stump. The interior is a combination of cozy home and natural cave. The images will probably give you a better idea. It would nicely fit an argonian, vampire or werewolf, or anyone who prefers the serenity of nature over the bustle of the city.
It terms of story, it is the former home of Sees-Beneath-The-Skin, an Argonian universal genius, who used it to pursue her studies in peace. This background is also present ingame, but only in an unobtrusive way.
This home does not contain any items that will make you stronger/richer or otherwise disrupt balance. The best things you'll find are a few salt-piles or iron ingots.
List of Features: - Detailed, immersive decoration - Lore-friendliness - Two Mannequins (optional) - A shrine to Kynareth to cure your diseases (optional) - Lots of safe storage containers, labelled into categories - Everything a Dragonborn could possibly need for crafting: Forge, grindstone, workbench, tanning rack, smelter, alchemy table, enchanting table, cooking spit, - Weapon racks - A Bookshelf - Bed - A small garden with some alchemical plants growing there - A small pool of water, to quench your thirst if you use the Realistic Needs and Diseases mod (not tested for other needs mods) - Lots of hanging moss. Seriously, you'll never want for hanging moss if you use this mod. - Easy-to-access location, you get head there as soon as you leave Helgen - Fast-travel point just outside with functional horse-marker (if you fast-travel there your horse awaits you near the entrance) - A note explaining the background of Sylvanheim (look for it outside, near the entrance) - It's now possible to bring followers inside
- Aaaaaand Wick, a pet mudcrab. If you don't want one, just kill it, but that makes you a horrible person!
Enjoy. Feedback is appreciated, especially since this is the first mod I've ever designed. And of course, if you find any bugs, do tell me.
Installation: There are four different versions of the mod. Only download one of them. 1. Version. The manequinless version. It has the shrine, but NOT the mannequins. 2. Version: The full version, it contains both the Shrine to Kynareth and the two mannequins. 3. Version: The shrineless version. It features two mannequins, but NO SHRINE. 4. Version: The minimal version. It has NEITHER the manniquins NOR the shrine.
Requirements: Latest version of basic Skyrim
Update: If you update this, better remove all your stuff from Sylvanheim, delete the mod, and install the new version.
Conflicts: There shouldn't be any, except with mods that add stuff to the world in the same location (south-east of Riverwood, up the mountain)
