I have a little problem. If an essential follower is defeated by a spell the effects are applied on it and ramains burnt or frozen. How can I fix this?
i added a tutorial to use this mod in sse. just copy and change folder structure as described in my tutorial. no esp conversion necessary. i do not have any stability problem with it in sse. all meshes and textures work. just the script folder structure has to be changed. after the change mod works 100% in sse.
It doesn't need porting. It works by itself since it doesn't edit any vanilla peripherals. Just download the loose version and drag and drop all the files into your SSE directory.

this will work in SE but you have to convert the meshes in the mod and convert the .esp. Thats it. 5 min task tops to do that. Script load with this mod though is pretty high.
This mod causes astronomical script load and completely destabilizes my game. With 200+ mods my game runs totally fine. With this mod alone, it crashes every 5 minutes... usually when transitioning between cells or running outdoors.
Until this is recoded in a better way, I would not recommend it to anyone (which is a shame, because the effects themselves are nice). Is anyone working on an alternative for this?
I am having the exact same issue with this mod, specifically ctd while loading through cells. Per my Papyrus log, it doesn't take long at all for this mod to bloat saves. Just tried it on a new game a got crashes within 3 hours or play.
I agree, it's a shame to let this mod go, but stability comes first.
I had no problem with FEC though. Nor did with this mod. But i don't deny that people might get problems with this kind of mod. Most likely that you're using many script-intensive mods already.
I ran this through SSE and initially there is no problem... up until i fast travel out from the outsides of Northwatch Keep and got my "first" CTD. Restarting the game and fast travelling against has the problem not occurring anymore. I assume that despite savegames only around 3-4mb, i have done lots of magic effects to the heavily guarded Northwatch Keep.
While this is a great mod and all i just wanted to let you guys know it happened to go rogue in my game. I'm not gonna get into detail but It generated several hundred null scripts and they would not properly terminate so it began to continuously accumulate on my save file. Yes i'm certain it's this mod and maybe i was just unlucky but just a heads up.
I wouldn't say it was bloat because my save file size did not grow abnormally. Just when checking the save file with a save tool as i usually do the active script count kept growing and would not go down as normal healthy saves do. For example a typical save would have around 5-10 active scripts and maybe go as high as 100-200 when a scripted event is happening but it would return to 5 afterwords. With this mod installed my active script count went up to as much as 900 and would have continued to grow if i had not removed this mod.
i've used this mod numerous times over the years and have ALWAYS had these issues and had to remove it. and during those times i always had a top PC. it's just very taxing, especially if using other heavy mods like Wet n Cold, Footprints, frostfall ect. iirc it was on a few dangerous mod lists at times. this mod is a spiritual successor... https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78709
but i had issues with it too, and uninstalled (effects sticking forever ect), but that was an earlier version. i might try it again some time
Since unlike some other games like XCOM 2, you can't really track why the hell Skyrim is crashing except for figuring out myself, i think i have to with heavy heart remove this, along with Enhanced Blood Textures that also used "zbloodaliasnpc". But there is only minority reporting such "bloat" It seems both cause constant crash especially after a place where the effects are excessively used. Even more so as you play and the save gone bloated.
P.S i removed a wandering Traveller mod. Hope it remedied crash issues! Also EBT has been extensively used and cleaned by the maker itself.
