    liked it all except the magic resistance this could just make a warrior immune to magick basicly at max level this is 81% magick resistance.

    Sorry I took so long to respond. I'm glad you got it working but I am curious. You said bat Revert didn't work? My testing on it worked as it should. What did it do when you tried it?

    Some things to check...

    Make sure Revert.txt is in your games install folder.

    Be sure to type the command into the console without quotes and exactly how the file is named (I'm unsure if caps count and haven't time to test atm.. It's better to assume they do)
    ----bat (lower case) Revert (just as the file name w/o extension)

    This looks like something I'd like and if you are right in that increasing dmg would overpower too much then reducing mana cost would be just fine. And, since I like to dual cast, doing so with fireball, I only get 3 or 4 good casts then im OOM. Also. I read the readme and I can see how if one did not want magic resistance.. they would simply not edit that part at all. Looks simple enough. I'll give this a try.

    So, even though I'm typing "bat Revert" into the console, it's not reverting, and now I have a Thunderbolt that costs 8 Magicka to cast, which is ridiculously low. I did my maths wrong for the Retro bat, and everything was too cheap. Well, not thinking things through, I re-did the bat file with the proper values and just did it again. Obviously, in end it just added the two and now any of my non-Expert or Master level spells cost nothing to cast.

    how fix

    EDIT: Never mind, got it. I just made the values negative and got it to where I didn't feel like I was cheating.

    @jiggity

    I truly wish this were possible to do to ONLY the spell damage but currently it is not. At least I have yet to discover a way. If anyone knows how, I would certain love to know what it is. However, what I discovered was...

    Anytime you alter the variable that increases the damage for destruction/illusion spells (DestructionPowerMod/IllusionPowerMod) healing for Restoration (RestorationPowerMod) or increase duration for alteration/conjuration (AlterationPowerMod/ConjurationPowerMod), it ALSO affects every enchanted item you possess that uses the magic from the school you increased. DestructionPowerMod will also increase the damage that your Sword of Flame does and your Staff of Fireballs and your Staff of Lightning and your Staff of Icicles, etc, etc. RestorationPowerMod will also increase the amount of healing that your Ring of Regeneration does and the magic your Necklace of Magicka Fortification and your Morokei Mask, etc., etc..

    One mod I tested that only increased the % amount of the destruction perks also increased the damage of my enchanted weapons *shrug*

    IMHO, enchanted items should not get stronger than when they were first created. A Staff of Fireballs should not do any more damage in my hand than in yours.

    To that end, I adjusted other variables in an attempt to compensate without increasing the damage variable because of this effect.

    Did you know potions you imbibe also do this? I dislike that too but at least they are only temporary.

    Magic Resistance should be removed. Though the problem with magic solely resides in the low damage. Maybe rework it so the mode increases your damage 1% per skill up or level.

    @Jerokane

    My apologies. I tried to make it as simple as possible. (and I also tend to get a bit wordy when explaining things. <img class="> )

    @Fyuumi

    As I mentioned in the readme, you can always play with the numbers to make it more to your liking. You can also remove any line you like from the files like the player.modav MagicResist and it, of course, would no longer adjust that stat. If/when you discover what you like them set at, let me know. I'd really like other opinions on what feels balanced.

    Seems overpowered, mainly because of the magic resistance.
