Horsemen Torch Wield Fix and Mount Tweaks modifies how Torches are held on a mount by customizing the Horsebehavior. Before that, there was no such proper torch holding mechanics where now, the Tor_idle.hkx animation is constructed into the behavior. Tor_idle.hkx is the native idle the Player uses on foot while holding a torch. This stated above is what leads to stated below. You can either: 01) Find mods that alter the Tor_Idle.hkx animation to influence how the Torch is wielded. An example of a great mod that does this is: EVG Animation Variance. The influence EVGAV animations have is on foot stance torch wielding and because the HorseBehavior rigs that same idle into the mounted picture, it reflects on horseback with the use of HTWFMT

Yeh, dont count on it. We are on it and unfortunally willingness has nothing to do with it. Its about what tools are available for the person willing. Don't have the tools or allowed to edit existing, cant do the job. Need a hammer to drive a nail. Fore is a Champ forever and god bless FNIS but Nemesis is the future of behavioral framework. Does everything FNIS can plus more with exception to some LL creature sex animations atm (which isn't to say forever).
This doesn't seem too hard of a task, I'd do it myself, but I might just make a mod that would only make bugs. DAR wouldn't work in this case? If not maybe one day the tools will be made
The root of the problem is behavior so anything outside of behavior is bandaging a wound or mimicing an equivalent with coverup... There are probably (as you said) hacky workarounds not fixing it at its source and Behavior editing wont be involved. When I have enough of my break, I will look at FNIS one last time just to make sure their isnt the slightest chance we missed something to do it the root way but FNIS style. I am 99% sure we didnt overlook anything so chances are very obvious nothings gonna change looking a second time, but I will for the sake of it
Yeh, lefttounge. I am sorry. There is nothing we can do regarding FNIS. Would require patching FNIS at best guess (which is closed source) to test the ideology patching could work. Thats all just a wild card. I extended the subject bit more on Description page. Its just how it is unfortunatly. Fore is retired so they cannot do neccessary FNIS modifications to sub for this. It appears very evident its not gonna change
wow,fantastic! i still use fnis (finishing up an old playthru) and have been thinking of trying nemesis, but it seems quite complex. any recommendations on tutorials ect? thanks
Just google it. I entered "nemesis mo2 tutorial", went to videos and theres a bunch out there. Nemesis Is really simple to setup and use. Look at FNIS Desc. Page vs Nem Desc. Page from a simplification standpoint. If you managed to get FNIS to work then it should be a sinch for you to setup Nem. Probably just the idea of transition is baffling to you. Don't be intimidated by it. I don't know Vortex but sure there's videos on it too.
