Strange, I'm having absolutely no success with the RDO patch, regardless of my load order... Both the "Wait" and "Relax" commands do diddley. :(

Does this fail on any follower? Or rather, do you have custom followers that this mod fails on?

Lydia. I'm starting to wonder if its "Immersive Citizens: AI Overhaul" causing the problem.

Found the solution. Needed to uninstall the mod, dismiss Lydia, save and reinstall the mod.

Oh, so the issue was caused by installing this mod while already having an active follower? Does simply dismissing and re-recruiting works without reinstalling the mod?

Yeah I already had Lydia with me when I installed, So I uninstalled because I also couldn't dismiss her with the mod active.

Hi Arvyn i need help, i have 3 followers following me and i had the followers rest in one of my house  after that when i am leaving one of them seems to be stuck even though she keep having the dialogue that she is going to follow me but she still waits there, any suggestions how to resolve this issue?

      Type this in the console:
      Show PlayerFollowerCount

Target the follower in console and type in these.
      GetActorValue WaitingForPlayer
      and
      GetPlayerTeammate

Do those at before and after telling the follower to follow. Note and post the outputs here.

      Potential short-term fixes:

If the output of "GetActorValue WaitingForPlayer" is 1 or 2 after telling to follow, try
      SetActorValue WaitingForPlayer 0

If the output of "GetPlayerTeammate" is 0, try
      SetPlayerTeammate 1

The dialogue to follow may be also used too fast for whatever reason. Try reloading the save and again use the dialogue to follow.

I don't know why, but with this mod, Teldryn Sero has several dialogue topics duplicated. The dialogue about changing equipment and the order to "wait is here". I haven't tested all of the vanilla companions directly yet, but it's probably just him. Little annoying. It's not entirely clear to me why this might be. Maybe because I have a different version of the game ... If someone can, сheck out Teldryn Sero's dialogue in the game.

I've checked that this is the case with Relationship Dialogue Overhaul also installed. Looking into a patch for that right now which should be simple enough. Are you using RDO as well?

Looks interesting - it reminds me of the UMF mod on SE, but that reduces the followers to 3, which can be fine in most situations. Thanks for sharing!

Given the compatibility note on the description page, am I correct to infer that the SDA mod will require a patch? Or is it sufficient to load this before SDA just like with RDO? Thanks in advance!

I've changed the note since it was wrong as I seemed to have misunderstood the report for it, now the guide is to load the mod after such conflicting ones.

As for SDA, it is not compatible as per its compatibility section which lists the script DLC1_NPCMentalModelScript as a modified one that this mod also does.

      Sorry for the late response.

No worries! I expected it would go this route. I'll have to reserve this for playthroughs using vanilla followers. Thanks!

In my opinion, the description is not very correct. Maybe, mod should be AFTER the RDO, not in before? At least it did not work for me until I lowered it below RDO. Companions simply did not leave upon dismissal, and when ordered to relax, they were also not re-hired. (Sorry for the English, this is an automatic translation)

I seemed to have misunderstood the original report for the note. I've changed it accordingly.

This pairs very well with Better Stealth AI For Followers (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16531) but neither address one feature I wish was packaged with the base game anyway -- a simple script for active followers to overwrite their native sneak skill with the player's. Just a little quality of life feature nobody seems to have implemented in a lightweight manner yet.

At any rate, this is basically the perfect Vanilla+ follower manager. Everything you need and nothing you don't.

Less features and more emphasis on dialogue context.
