Hello! I would like to reiterate here, I'm not the mod author, I just ported the mod. Thanks again to RabbittWinri for letting me port her!

If you have any problems (not related to Khash refusing to wear mod-added armor) let me know!

I am no longer providing support for my LE mods, as I'm now focusing on my own mods for SE.

I will not be providing patches for mods that I don't use, as it's boring and I'm only modding for my own entertainment.

Backport tutorial is here. A good tutorial on how to make compatibility patches is here (NSFW site!)

    ---

Problems? Bug reports? You need to do these steps first.

    • Test with a minimal load order (ie., this mod and Dime's Quick Start) Almost every single time the 'bug' being reported is actually a mod conflict. If this fixes your problem, add back other mods and rearrange your load order to proceed to test things out. Please don't count on LOOT alone to sort your mods, using xEdit and learning to manually resolve conflicts yourself will save you some heartbreak.

    • Test on a new save
    • Check the other comments and the Bugs tab to see if someone else has had the same issue, and how they fixed it.

If your issue is not fixed after trying the above, feel free to make a post (please mention what you did to try to do to fix it!) That being said, I tested this mod with an otherwise empty load order and encountered no issues with the vanilla game.

Thank you so much for porting Khash, I adore her so far and I've only just started a new save to play with her! However, I have noticed a couple of bugs, and I wasn't sure if I should report them here or on the SSE page.

Can Khash wear player-crafted versions of vanilla armors? I made a set of leather armor for her to wear and she refuses to equip the chest piece, instead going to her ragged robes. She'll equip the bracers, boots, and helmet, just not the chest piece (although the boots are invisible on her, but this may be because I'm using Digitigrade Beast Races Full DLC Edition, so the game might be trying to put the raptor foot mesh on her custom body and it just doesn't show).

I'm also encountering a CTD whenever I try to give her the green outfit that Alvor (the smith in Riverwood) sells for her use. At least, I'm assuming it's for her, because the item name says "Small," it's sold alongside a small hood which I can give her without a CTD, and it looks like the green outfit she's wearing in one of the provided screenshots, the one with the red text on it.

Again, thank you for porting this mod! If you need me to take these bugs over to the SSE page for Khash, just let me know.

You definitely are reporting to the correct place- I’m responsible for LE support.

That being said, it’s been awhile since I worked with the mod and I’m not remembering all its components at the moment- as soon as I’m not super busy I’ll take a look.

She definitely should wear vanilla armor iirc, and on the custom armor that CTDs I’ll need to work on the mesh: I ported Khash before  I knew about partitions causing issues. I had to deal with it when porting the same armor mesh for the Dragonfly Robes for Males and Beast Races.

It’s probably a bug I missed because I was using the HDT plug-in/XMPSE skeleton, which sometimes keeps it from crashing for some reason.

Sorry, it will be awhile before I can work on it, but I’ll fix it!

That's quite all right, take your time! I'm just happy that there are people who are willing to backport and continue supporting such good mods for us lowly LE players in the first place, lol. Thank you for your quick reply. I can't use XPMSE with my current mod setup as one of its prerequisites conflicts with another mod I'm using, but that may very well be the reason this armor is giving me crashes. I'll just stick to giving Khash vanilla armors for now.

Sorry to bother you so soon, but I've found another bug, which I originally thought was from a different mod but have since confirmed it's from this one. After installing Khash's main files, as well as the CRF-USLEEP patch and the Khash Won't Die patch, female player characters of every race aside from Khajiit and Argonians have a massive disconnect (Imgur link, Bosmer comparison screenshots plus one of Khash's own neckseam, mentioned below) between the skin tone of their head and the rest of their body. It doesn't affect male player characters of any race, but for female PCs, the body is much paler and pinker than the head. I also noticed that Khash's head is white while the rest of her body is black, and she describes herself as having black scales in her dialogue. At first I figured that her head being white was because I'm not using the Argonian retexture mentioned in the mod description, but now I'm thinking it may be related to this other bug.

I have also leveled up a bit in my save, and I can now confirm after testing it that Khash can't wear any vanilla armor, that isn't her starting outfit, not just leather. This is probably due to what you already mentioned about XPMSE and the HDT plug-in.

One last thing I'll let you know about while I'm at it. I installed Song of the Green and Aixcalibur's replacer for that mod, Refined Auri, at the same time as Khash, and even though Mod Organizer 2 put all of Auri's texture files separately from the player's textures, Auri's head (and only her head) will occasionally, upon loading into a new cell, acquire the skin tone of my character, which is much darker than Auri's. This is fixed upon loading into another cell or reloading a save. I don't know if this is a bug with Song of the Green, if it's with Refined Auri, or if it's related to this Khash bug I described above, but since it happens at random and only to Auri (though I have both Auri and Khash in my party simultaneously) I don't have an easy way of testing which mod it's originating from. I just figured I should be proactive and let you know about it just in case it is related to this other Khash bug.

I’ll check into it I know Khash also has an update so that might fix some things, but I won’t get a chance to work on it for a bit unfortunately.

on the vanilla armor, I think there’s a chance you could have another mod overwriting a particular kind of record that allows custom races to use particular armors (I’m away from my computer but I’ll update this when I find the name).

the body disconnect looks like the ‘brown/grey face’ issue

Okay, the temporary fix for the custom armors CTD'ing is out.
I was mistaken: she will wear most vanilla armors, but not all of them.
I have no idea why face colors are doing that: I will try to fix it in the next update.

I don't mean to pester you, but I found a potential incompatibility with Digitigrade Beast Races Full DLC Edition. I say potential because Mod Organizer 2 doesn't detect any conflicts, and poking around in the files of both mods hasn't revealed anything that could possibly conflict to my admittedly less-than-knowledgeable eyes, but whenever I have Khash and her patches enabled, adult Argonians get bugged so that one of two things happens depending on what clothes they're wearing: either they use the vanilla shoe mesh and are otherwise clothed (tested with the Barkeeper's Shoes, base ID 00018801), or they use the raptor foot compatible mesh at all times but their equipped clothes turn invisible even when the shoes are unequipped (tested with the Merchant's Clothes, base IDs 0004223C and 0006FF45, and the Merchant's Boots, base ID 0004223D, and I've also observed it happening with bandit armor, but notably it did NOT happen with the Miner's Clothes, base ID 00080697, even with the same Merchant's Boots equipped). I noticed this happened both for a male Argonian player character (I tested all the clothing listed above and got the same results as the following NPCs) and for Talen-Jei, Keerava, and Madesi of Riften (Talen-Jei and Keerava were using the vanilla mesh and were clothed, but Madesi was using the raptor foot mesh but his Merchant's Clothes were invisible despite being equipped). Removing Khash and her patches fixed the problem, and it only occurs with Khash enabled, but again, I have no idea why Khash's stuff would even touch the stuff for adult Argonian clothing and feet.

Does changing your load order make a difference?

I've been sorting my load order with LOOT through Mod Organizer 2, but I can try moving DigitigradeKhajiit+ArgonianRaptor.esp before Khash The Argonian.esp (it currently loads after that but before the various Khash patches) and see if that makes a difference.

Okay, I just did two tests. The first time I forgot to enable Khash's Cutting Room Floor + USLEEP patch (which loads well after both of the .esp files I mentioned above when I let LOOT do the sorting, as well as having some of its changes imported into my bashed patch), the second time I remembered to enable said patch. Both times it did make a difference, in that Argonians no longer have raptor feet at all, but they still appear to be using the raptor foot's modified texture because the texture on the bare vanilla feet didn't match up right with the mesh. Without the CRF+USLEEP patch, Madesi and my male Argonian no longer had invisible clothes, but when I re-enabled the patch they were invisible again.

I hope this information helps! It seems to me like something in Khash's main file is overwriting the mesh changes (but not the texture changes) from Digitigrade Beast Races, and something in Khash's CRF+USLEEP patch is making the clothes invisible. I still have no idea what it could be in either case, though.

Yeah, I kind of remember some people having issues on the SE page because the author had some meshes overwriting vanilla ones.
I don't really know that there's much I can do right now: for some reason Skyrim LE isn't playing nice on my new computer, and I won't be able to access my old computer for awhile.

I will eventually need to port the newest update, but I'm not even sure that fixed the issue. If it didn't, there's definitely not much I can do outside of because if I edit the plugin it will all be undone when the actual author decides to update

That's totally understandable! Thank you for all your help regardless, and thank you for porting Khash to LE! I can just deal with naked Madesi for the forseeable future. :)

I’m not the author, just the porter. You’ll have to ask RabbittWinri (you’ll find links to their page and I believe their Discord in the description)

With Khash? No. She just won’t wear the armors, and use her default underclothing body if equipped.
With other NPCs? Probably? Idk, I don’t use body mods, I would check their mod pages/comments to see if anyone is having similar issues to you
