It is good to see that Hircine offers help to Grim and you described his appearance perfectly and I love the work you performed with Fenrir and the gods of Skyrim is beautifully written!
I also liked the way you described the feelings of the father of Erik in the cabin, it's chilling.
When he hesitates to take the dagger, this is great to see a simple innkeeper who is not a warrior and reluctant to take this blade, I found this moment very interesting that puts us in the place of a simple citizen of Skyrim.
Arnbjorn is very brave to have release the friends of Grim and Wolfgar, they will have a powerful ally on their sides, the end offers great suspense with resonant voice in the distance, I wonder what will be the outcome of this confrontation between Arnbjorn and his colleagues...
The pictures are fantastic too!
Sometimes I like to think what it would be like to be just a regular citizen of Skyrim so I have enjoyed playing with Mralki and a few others (like Eir). However I made Grim very heroic because he is fighting bigger than life villians in Skyrim that realistically I don't think a regular mortal could ... I just don't see a human taking down a dragon by themselves, or master vampiers, werewolves, Alduin, or Miraak.
Plus I get to be an average citizen in real life so nice to play something a bit more special in a fantasy game
It's like in RL when I started to read the "Oatsworn" series by Robert Low. I'm still stuck in the 2nd part The Wolf Sea and have no time (or peace) to coninue reading. (or I forgot about it, even if I wanted to know how the story continues - somehow it's the same with your story, what a pity.)
...so far I only (once again) admired the images to this new chapter, and bookmarked these 3 new chapters (8-10).

Man, as we all know, Grim is a real beefcake but in direct comparison to Hircine...
This "guy" is a real giant!
Very impressive images with the two of them!
What I also really liked is the scene/portrait of Arnbjorn (11th. image from bottom) and the lighting on him, the image under the line *And thus the Wild Hunt begins …* (love this reddish lighting and the spooky atmosphere), and the Bonus shot!
Indeed Hircine is a very large guy :-) I wanted him to the epitome of the masculine male in some ways. Glad you liked the shots. The one with the red is with the bloodmoon weather in effect (from the Dean Man's Grotto) and thought it made for a cool look.
So much was covered and so much happened in this chapter! I would've been satisfied with Grim's bit at the beginning then BAM, more awesome stuff!
I love the Hircine / Fenrir impact on Grim's life and thought his being able to call the Hunt was a most interesting idea. In many ways, with his mixed bloodlines, Grim is even more powerful (or will be in time) than any singular deity (Hircine, Fenrir etc). Add to that the Dragonborn blood... well. He'll be unstopppable.
I really enjoyed Mralki's slight flirt with danger as he eyes Astrid's blade and I wonder if that'll be the last we hear about the blade... or if it might pop up again?
The Hunt with Grim's 'brother wolves' was very well written. I love how you described the bloodlust and all consuming need to tear and rend flesh.
Then there's all the machniations at the DB. I'm not at all suprised that Arnbjorn helped Wolfgar out; you've written him in a way where it seems really logically that he would do exactly this. As a way to salvage some of his masculinity / humanity after being emasculated as Astris's slave for so long. I would've been suprised that Delvin did a 180 and decided to help the friends but that you set it up in the previous chapter where he examined his motives etc. Plus, he's a thief afterall; not a killer.
Very keen to see what happens as the group sneak out of the DB and Grim comes the sanctuary. I hope he has a chance to meet up with Erik beore he chances upon Arnie otherwise he might well atack the big man.
Very well written as usual my dear and can't wait for the next one (PS: I have alsmot totally forgotten that Grim is 'doing' the main storyline - these side stories are too interesting!! )
I decided instead of just glossing over Grim's bloodline as a very minor, unnoticeable thing I would instead make it a key part of who he is. I like wondering what if an Aedra and Daedra did procreate and make Fenrir ... who in turn mates with mortals? Watered down sure but still a blood/power inheritance. Anyhow seemed natural that Grim might be able to call a miniature version (as his is miniature compared to the one Hircine calls every 1000 years).
He does have a lot of power but he is not as powerful as one would think. First Hircine and Kynareth had Fenrir while in mortal form on Nirn - that right there greatly reduced their power. It was Lorhkan who tricked them into the mating and tied Fenrir to Nirn as one of its guardian spirits. Fenrir is a little weaker than a demi-god, except while on Nirn in his true mortal form then he is a demi-god although not an overly powerful one.
Grim then has even less of that since he is also part mortal (his mother). Course as you said he is also dragonborn so he has a very diverse portfolio of powers.
IF he ends up deciding to forgo his mortal side and become Fenrirs true heir then I suspect he would be very powerful. But at the moment his mortal side is his limiter (Lorkhan's influence). Still - he is a mover and shaker in Skyrim no question about it.
In regards to Mrakli ... I don't think we have seen the last of the blade
As to Delvin - I gave that weeks of thought. He was the obvious tie in to the DB as well as the prefect choice for other reasons (belief in supernatural curse, old and traditional) but I am not sure he is a true killer like you said - he is a thief. I tried to set all the stories up to show he didn't do what he did easily or lightly and that he had plenty of doubts and regret in doing it. I think once he realized just how twisted Astrid was, and that his old friend Brynjolf and his niece Sapphire, were also at risk now ... that he felt like it had gone to far and he needed to do something.
I got all the screenshots done for the next chapter - will will conclude the wild hunt and the confrontation of Grim and the DB. After that comes the follow-up chapter on how every thing falls out after the battle and hunt. Lastly will be the "loose ends" where I try to wrap things up a bit.
Thanks again for the comment and comments and glad you enjoyed it!
