This has to be one of the best Argis I've seen... sadly, I found none available for download that I liked. If you don't mind asking, do you have any idea of when you will be able to release your mod? I like the overhauls you've posted and I'm aching to have them. How many npc's are you planning to edit? Will they all be in one .esp or will they be modular so we can pick and choose? Mmmm and different versions? Because the slightly younger version of Athis is so damn hot and he looks believable as well... hum... yeah ^^

I've also seen people asking for changes to them to make them more... 'alive'. I am aware that it's a lot of time and effort and lack of voice actor, but I can live without voice if the dialogue is good enough. I'll confess, I'm a sucker for awesome npc's with things to say. One thing that saddened me from Skyrim is the lack of depth with your followers and other npc's, you can't even have a proper courtship/romance/post marriage dialogue! Adding that to an existing vanilla npc is difficult? I ask this out of pure ignorance, my fiddlings with the CK are limited to make my own spouse for my Nord girl (I'd love to know how to add dialogue and banter to him though, even without voice)

I apologize for my rambling, I just get excited when I see something I like. And I also apologize for my english, it's not my mother language. Please keep up your awesome work and sharing with us these screens and little stories that say so much about npc's that Bethesda made appear as 'half-done'

Wow, that armor... it looks better than it's ever looked! Is that included in the mod?

EDIT: I just did some looking around and found out that these are custom just for your mod The mistveil!

I am looking forward to it so bad! I've been waiting for something like that!

      I want it!

The armor and the hammer are custom items made for this mod by Cabal120, the housecarls and Mjoll (check the previous storyboards for a preview) will have this little "benefit" of custom items and they will not be playable by the player (aside of Grimsever), they are made at-hoc for the housecarls.

Well, hopefully I can get them via console then, cause I wanna wear them and if the mod is free and can be downloaded, I'll use them anyway lol... I don't see the point in making them exclusive to NPCs only. They're too awesome for that. They're far better than the current designs for aMidianBorn textures. I love the textures, I use them - but those are much better in my opinion (and yes I understand that they are made by the same author - I'm not complaining, I'm praising basically).

Well the textures Cabal made weren't supposed to be used as replacers for the Book of Silence, both because he's remaking some of them and because they are too "particular" to be replacers.
Aside of that, sure there are many way for someone to use these textures and even compressing the whole stuff into a bsa files will not change a thing.
      But what's the point?
I mean, I put these items into the game as "npc only stuff" to give something valuable to the housecarls together with Chargen Extension facial features and a new appearance, to make them a valid choice instead of the custom-made followers.
Otherwise no one would never use them, because they are not cool or beautiful as a randompopularscreenarcher's characters.
So yeah, you'll surely figure out how to pick the textures and use them, but the mod isn't about new weapons/armors or textures.. they are a surplus to what the mod does, and that's replacing followers

That's an ambitious project then. I haven't yet seen a mod that makes the vanilla followers desirable as a follower at all. In fact, their AI package and the constant talking the way they do, bothers me considerably, and that's why I use custom follower mods like Odvar the Afflicted and others like him. I like to be able to talk to my follower and ask them things, and they have opinions of their own, so they don't feel fake. I want to be immersed more, and what better way to do that than to make the follow quest aware, opinionated, and have their own personality instead of being all bland and a copy cat of another NPC in the game (there are a lot of copy cat NPCs, Bethesda come off as LAZY).

Any chance you'll be adding Quest Aware features to them, and making them have their own personality or at least expand on their personality, and maybe get custom voice actors to play the voices for new lines, and such to improve on them even more? I've been waiting on someone to do something like I describe, I'm not able to and it's a pretty big and time consuming project.

I have never felt like Skyrim was a 'complete' game - it always felt broken to me - I only play because of Mods. If there were no mods, I'd never play it.

Actually what I'm trying to do with them is changing their appearance, but specifically for the Housecarls I'm also trying to give them custom weapons/armors, perks, different classes and eventually a different combat behavior to adapt their new outfits.
Example Argis, since he's using a 2handed hammer and light armor, will be more offensive than a tanking Lydia which will use heavy armor & shield+1handed.

More than that would be cool, but I don't have the skills and probably the instruments to do it.
Changing the voice and add lines require a voice actor and stuff for recording, and scripts to make them use these lines, I don't have such sadly :/
