He's gonna need a bigger axe than that if he plans to clear that forest!!

I'm glad you posted the wider shot, and even so, it took me a bit to sort that out! It looks great with all the new trees.

Thanks! It is hard when a lot of reference points are removed and new ones added.

I just tested out both the enhanced vanilla trees and Great forest mod. I think I will be keeping enhanced trees with vurts option 4 and the snow textures as well as the larger tree version. We will see if I keep the great forest one but I'm not sure, though I do see the appeal for your story with Grim causing such a large increase in trees.

I'm not sure I want to overhaul the plains THAT much LOL, but it does change the feel of the game for sure.

I am using Vurts as well plus the snow textures, plus large and lush. I suspect the great forest mod will mess up some quests on the plains but at this point in my Skyrim life time of playing not too worried about them. My new guy is meant to be more a general adventurer as there is a lot of vanilla content I have not done - he will be more an explorer I think.

There is a price of course - there is clipping and its dark and branches get in the way in many places. But it is also cool to see how things change. Still testing and I go in and out. I did want to do the civil war with this guy and not sure how that will play out in Whiterun. I suppose I could disable the mod, do it, then renable. I don't think this type of mod would be a big issue in the save as its not a scripted mod.

More Forests seems a bit less intrusive but still has some minor issues. Expanded mods are the most stable so happy with those.

Beautiful landscapes, Jon...I love all the extra trees.

I use the Great Forest Of Whiterun Hold mod to cover the horrible (in my opinion) tundra wasteland around Whiterun itself, I also use the Simply Bigger Trees mod to make all the forests more dense and give them more of an ancient forest feel.

And Fenris looks great in those images, especially the last!

Thanks for the comment and links Les. I am using the GFoWH mod but not the other one as I found a recently released mod called Enhanced Vanilla Trees which is pretty cool and recently has some of Vurt's textures added. Has a lot of custom options and among them is lush and large trees which I am using. I also use More Forests, Expanded Riverwood, Expanded Lakes Region, and Expanded Markarth.

Thanks for the mods tips. Jon, I'll have a look at those other mods, too.

      Thanks!

      Many thanks Choeli!

Did some more landscape testing today. Trying to get a feel for how things look as I would hate to get 50 hours into the game and find some horrible glitch. So a lot more landscape and mod checking today.

Wonderful and very beautiful looking landscape shots! Riverwood is among my favorite places and sure looks gorgeous with those tress... such great starting place for hero's journey through Skyrim. Also great shots of charismatic and impressive looking Fenris!

Thank you Nataly! Riverwood and Whiterun, along with the lakes area as you travel to Falkreath, are among my favorite areas in Skyrim.

I haven't been to Falkreath yet with this set up so that is high on my list to see - so many trees there already going to be curious what the town and surrounding area looks like.

What a stunning landscape GrimJ I appreciate it a lot to see something more than character shots over character shots here on the Nex.. but.. hmh, I have to admit, he's not the Big Bear but really a nice view in the wilds.

    Great work.

Thanks Isleen! Aye we do get a lot of character shots here. Think it is mainly because people are very attached to their creations and because many folks have older machines so invest the most on characters versus their landscapes. I am somewhat the opposite and use no fancy character stuff and focus more on my landscape and building textures. Still I take my share of character shots although my favorite are those which shows their full body (versus just face) doing something in the world around them.
