I really appreciate when Grim tells the story of sacrifice at Braith, Wolfgar who utters a howl behind the little girl, it was a good time it remind me when the adults telling the Norse myths and legends for children, pleasant moment.
Your description of the flames in the forge is another moment that I really appreciate,
"Fire was both a force of creation and destruction and there was a very primal and raw beauty in its power. In fact, Grim realized, there existed beauty in all the primal forces of nature; a beauty that came from their sense of freedom and power, uncontrolled by man or beast."
Great and powerful lines, this is so true. The elemental forces of nature is beautiful,
destructive or creative, who have never admire a beautiful tornado or powerful storm, although this is a dangerous beauty, the nature forces are always intriguing and its fury is well the only thing that human can not control and never can.
Great music too, good choice, Assasin's Creed 2 was my favorite of the series and it is even the last one that I enjoy, the others made me abandon the series by disappointment, happy once again enjoy its melodies.
Thank you for feedback on the elements, I thought you might relate to that as I know we share some similar feelings towards the natural world.
Appreciate your comment very much and glad you also enjoyed the music!
I love this also :
''The heat became almost too intense and Grim had to take a step back, not sure how Eorlund was able to cope with it. The flames danced, a purity in them that Grim found mesmerizing. Like little miniature suns the sparks swirled, dipping and climbing in the air above the forge. Fire was both a force of creation and destruction and there was a very primal and raw beauty in its power. In fact, Grim realized, there existed beauty in all the primal forces of nature; a beauty that came from their sense of freedom and power, uncontrolled by man or beast''.
I don't know how i could missed your great Set so long.
Nice balancing act on the images and story, wolfgrim; I thoroughly enjoyed it, and of course it leaves me eager to find out what happens next...
Gotta say I loved the joke the lads pulled on Braith. Gee that rotten kid annoys the bleep outta me! I'm always wanting to whop her one when she gives me cheek. One day I must write her into Rathe's tale... bet he'd have a few ideas about sorting her out!
Ugh, Danicas quest. I can't count how many times I've saved the Gildergreen. I am soooo over that quest! I can sure see why grim hasn't done it yet in favor of doing other quests!! Anyway, must stop rambling on! Dinner time!
Take care and looking forward to the next instalment!!
Good to know my text and image balance is okay - I do the same. I always read the longer stories first and then go back and really enjoy the images - especially with you, Kami, and Nataly as you three tend to be more text heavy like myself. That way my train of thought is not interrupted while I am reading.
Thanks for following and hope you enjoy my special twist planned for chapter 20 :-) Then, finally, I hope to conclude this in chapter 21 and then its off to track down Karliah finally.
PS - I will also do Thalmor Embassy but not sure I will write about it yet. Many quests I just do (no time to write it all) but I wanted to focus on Sam's quest because I really like the Daedric Princes in stories plus been enjoying the cross-over with Nataly's characters.
