First, thanks for this item. I appreciate the work and the result. Unfortunately, I can't use this crosshair without compromising my combat effectiveness, and I wonder if I'm missing something---or if others experience the same thing I do. Let me explain:
I'm a Master of Sneak, so i'm sneaking around all the time and often start battle in Sneak mode. I'm also a Marksman, so my preference is to shoot and run or shoot and hide. Now, the problem for me is that when you're in Sneak mode you move slower: you at least run a lot slower. So, once I engage my enemy and have been revealed, if I can't hide again immediately then quitting Sneak mode is my best option for combat effectiveness, because staying in Sneak only slows me down. So, with your mod, I don't have a crosshair to aim arrows while I'm out of Sneak mode running for my life. Sux to be me, eh?
So, any way you can modufy this crosshair to be toggled independently of Sneak? Puh..leese?? ">
I would think there would be problems with accidentally stealing things with this. Yeah the icons return when you mouse over, but you don't really know where you're "mousing over" until it does.
For people that don't like to wait for such indications, or that don't like to have to manually "find center", this probably isn't going to play nice with your style.
I'm all for reducing distracting graphics onscreen though. Keep at it.
Indeed, the crosshair is there for a reason though.
At first, I thought it was cool that I didn't have any crosshair when walking around making it more of a challenge to aim with the bow, and I considered sneaking to be an action in order to better balance my aim.
In the end, though, it was just irritating when I was walking around trying to gather ingredients for alchemy. Having to sneak around in order to pick stuff up is just annoying. Sorry, this is just my opinion. (I also use the "Better Music System" mod which fades the music down when I sneak.)
If you would make an alternative version with an crosshair visible when walking, I'll gladly give this mode my endorsement! I don't like the sneak eye telling me when I am spotted or not.
