I noticed the enchanted one of Holy Avenger can't be taken (the hand icon not show up) other than that everything work well

Very good weapons, make more (=, I am going to be a jackass and say the swords kind of look like tin foil though. oh well, enjoyed them anyway.

Not sure if I'll be able to make more anytime soon. I was working on a bigger mod, but that'll be held indefinitely until life gives me a huge break.

As I said in a lower post, I'm aware of the tinfoil effect, it's just the product of a slightly colourblind dude messing with a game engine that can't render anything between dull, worn-out metal and bright, dazzling shiny glass... Since those weapons are supposed to be « untarnished », they end up looking like the latter. I try to play with specular maps to alter the glossiness of the textures instead of using brute force and the sliders in NifSkope, but, althought it allows for more complex and precise results, they're easier to screw up... and take a lot more time, of which I have none.

My ultimate goal would be to achieve this very glossy effect only on certain places of the mesh. It's feasible in theory, but it won't be part of this mod until I have too much free time on my hands.

Still, thought, thanks for leaving a comment. Have fun!

Good job on the weapons, but IMO the way they look is too bright and sticks out too much for me, they do look good but I just don't like how they stick out, will still endorse though!

Ya I get what you mean. Being slightly colorblind, I've always had issues getting my stuff to look "lifelike". It's all a question of subtle hues that elude me. Quite honestly, if I could have some underpaid monkey that does my textures for me, I'd be quite happy. But at least I know what orange looks like, so I hot that going for me, which is nice...

      Thanks for the endorsement!

Oh man, what can I say but... roll for initiative! Heh.

Nice job on doing this. From the shots you posted up it looks like it does an amazing amount of damage on just base damage alone. Is that from an overhaul mod or something? Kinda hoping that the base is more in line with vanilla's scheme of things more or less.

Thanks for the donation to the community.

Actually, the base damage of the weapons is the product of a crapload of modifications - none of wich actually alter this mod's weapons - that make the game more edgy. I don't remmeber which mod exactly does that, but the Flametongue should have about the same physical stats as a daedric longsword.

The holy avenger, being much slower, will hit harder than a claymore, but its damage per second when swinging wildly will remain the same.

Glad you liked the models thought!

There is some kind of hentai sword that had a full time blue flaming effect, I wish I knew something about Oblivion modding so I could tell you how that was done.

There are actually quite a few swords that have that effect. Personally, I'm really, really not a fan of them. The way particles are handled in Oblivion pretty much sucks IMHO (not the modders' fault, it's just the engine that's wanting), so I stay away from it. I lack the NifSkope alchemy competence anyway... But it is my firm belief that a good mixture of specular/bump mapping is "better" that just particle effects, because they produce a sleeker look. Ergo, I won't add flames to the flametongue. Yeah, I know, it's lame, but that's just the way I roll...
