I was wondering why the arrows didn't seem to be buffed... Then I realized that you need BOTH .esp files. Since both are added to the bashed patch, they won't count against the plugin count.
Well, hopefully somebody is paying attention out there :)
This doesn't seem to work with Apachii arrows, plus a few from other mods, although the description page says it does. I even tried putting the .esp files at the end of my load order just before the bashed patch. Do I need to merge the mod to get it to work for any of the mod-added arrows?
The OMOD version is meant to be installed using Oblivion Mod Manager (i.e. the top download listed on the Files tab). The manual install download is a RAR file, meant to be extracted using a utility like 7-Zip.
Not sure which version you downloaded, but my guess is you're trying to activate the download which in either case wouldn't be possible. Either download the OMOD version and install using OBMM or download the manual version and extract to a temporary folder. You're on your own with next steps on the manual version ... my guess is you'll pick which ESP to copy to your Data folder, but that is just a guess as I've never downloaded and looked at the mod.
That's, odd. Okay so, let's get the obvious stuff out of the way.
Since you downloaded the OMOD version I assume you have OBMM installed? If you /don't/, that's probably your issue. To solve this download the "Manual Install" version, then add through the mod manager of your choice, activate, and finally select only the relevant plugins to activate in your load order.
For example, if I had the Shivering Isles expansion, and I wanted just the buffs I'd select: "Untidy Arrows (Buffed Stats).esp" and "Untidy Arrows (Buffed Stats) (SI).esp"
--------
If you /have/ OBMM installed, I suggest re-downloading the OMOD version and see if that helps. Occasionally Nexus will have a bad transfer, leading to corrupted files that no program will like. Before you install it make sure that all references to the previous download have been erased and restarting OBMM isn't a bad idea either.
Conversely you can just try the first method with OBMM. There technically shouldn't be any reason why it couldn't work with OBMM, it's just the OMOD version has a wizard to help smooth things along. Please let me know if this helps.
Nice mod. If you use Bashed Patch in the other hand, the arrow rename feature wont work. You need to manually add a "Names" bash tag to the esp files, then safely merge in to the Bashed Patch. With this you save 2 eps slot and the rename will work too.
Just a little info for Maskar's Overhaul users: DONT choose the buffed stats version of the mod...MOO scales the bow/arrow damage differently, and with the buffed stats...for you it will too OP, for the npcs = nearly one shot you all the time.
