Getting Purple Staves... and I think I know why...
Your model nifs point to their textures with full path references rather than local references
That is they reference as textures: C:/program files/bethesda softworks/oblivion/data/textures/armor/defensivestaves/*.dds
instead of: textures/armor/defensivestaves/*.dds
So anyone with the game installed anywhere but the default location will get purple staves
EDIT: Confirmed... used NifScope to change the texture paths to local and now almost everything works... Ashenwood Staff still displays a black non-texture on the inventory screen for me, but is textured in game rendering just fine, kinda weird
