Sorry, guys, my health has taken a very nasty turn into frightening territory and I have to disappear for some time. I'm not exactly sure what I'm to face yet, but there's far too much on my plate right now to continue working on any mods.
I'm sorry and I hope I'll be back one day. Thank you to everyone who's been kind about my work.
Oh my god, i really hope you feel better man.. i haven't tried this enb but i just saw those screenshots and literally im the only person awake in my house, the only person in the room and i said over and over out loud, jaw agape, "oh my god, oh my god, holy s#*!, what the f*#@, this looks so good!" sorry for the profanity but sweet jesus that is some amazing visual work there. i hope it looks as good on my pc and on my game as it does on yours! wow!
but i really hope you feel better cause you must have some sort of artistic talent to be able to come up with something that looks so good and we need more artistic people in the world ^^
From all of us on the Nexus... We wish you well. I am sorry that your health has taken a bad turn. We are all here for you, friend. We all want you to get better.
Okay, all seriousness. I hope all goes well my friend. Get better for your sake and the one's that care for you.
I don't know if I'll ever play Oblviion. My FO3 days have been long gone and I've been all over Skyrim (sigh) since. I have this tracked if ever I decide to install Oblivion and give it another try.
Which enb file contents do we use? The one from the "wrapper" or "injector"? And after removing the renderer text and re opening the launcher, it wont find my 4080 graphics card. Also, shame the transparent hands and sword is still in there
There's really only a handful of decent ENBs for Oblivion (Cyrodiil ENB, A Tweaked ENB, and Simple ENB are the ones that immediately come to mind), and DDD ENB is on that list. I love it for how unique it makes the world look. I'll admit, there are certain areas where it can be improved (mainly the lighting and sometimes the colors look more washed out than they should be), but otherwise it gives the game almost a whole new visual experience. In fact, if someone wants a realistic yet cinematic look then this is it!
The other reason why this ENB is great is because it doesn't require a bunch of other things, such as bloatware like Oblivion Reloaded. It DOES require Weather - All Natural, however, and that may be a turn off for some people who prefer to play as vanilla as possible. Tbh I never had a problem with that weather mod and I think it makes the game look better. And yes, this ENB totally needs it; it doesn't look right without it, and definitely won't look like what you see on the screenshots.
All that being said though, there are a few suggestions I have for those using this ENB:
1. Turn on the film grain effect. Don't worry, it's not overpowering and you only notice it in LODs or when DOF kicks in. 2. Don't use the DOF in this mod; it's a blurry mess and makes the game unplayable regardless of POV. Replace it with something else, such as Matso DOF or the one from A Tweaked ENB. (The file you need to replace is enbeffectprepass.fx) 3. Turn off EnableDetailedShadow. With it on, there's fake shadows happening and can sometimes mess with how NPCs look. 4. Install the Real Lights ESP from Weather - All Natural if you haven't already. This gets rid of the fake lights present in vanilla. 5. If you're using a non-nVidia card, go to enbseries.ini and set to FALSE for both ForceNVidiaCard and ForceNVidiaCaps. Not sure why they were true to begin with, must've been an oversight.
Yes there's some tweaking involved, but otherwise it's all worth it. Makes this ENB one of the best ones out there.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and great job on this. I feel like I'll be using this ENB for a long while!
EDIT: I almost forgot, this ENB looks heavy yet it's actually performance-friendly. I'm like 60 fps 99% of the time and I'm only using a Radeon RX 590. Hardly what you'd call a high-end graphics card lol.
Is there a fix for the see through hands and swords without disabling something important? Because I really like this ENB and don't want to play without it.
not the only way. the default camera IS better, but if you can get by with third person arms in first person, you can use oblivion reloaded's camera mode to get past that issue...a lil wonky for aiming with a bow and some other things though....
