Hey @TheInkBunny; while I DO agree with you that the vanilla Dawn/Duskfang design is a little too far on the style-over-substance side in design, I ALSO think the Katana's MASSIVELY over-represented; especially since it's FAR from the most culturally significant blade in Japan, the country Akavir is inspired by.

Japan's MOST culturally significant sword is actually a double-edged straight sword called the Tsurugi, as written about here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsurugi_(sword) There, you'll even find a link to the story of Japan's imperial regalia of valor, Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi. We're actually doing Japan's culture a GRAVE injustice by NOT representing its most culturally significant sword, and OVER-REPRESENTING one that's nowhere NEAR as significant to it whenever we portray their culture in OUR media; I think Bethesda was trying to properly represent the Tsurugi when they made Dawn/Duskfang a double-edged straight sword from the Japan inspired Akavir; as last time I checked, the last tier one-handed Akaviri style swords in ESO were ALSO double-edged straight swords.

So here's a little idea for you; maybe instead of THIS mod, which turns, Dawn/Duskfang into a KATANA, why not make a mod that changes vanilla Dawn/Duskfang's MESH so that it's of more PRACTICAL proportions, but STAYS a double-edged straight sword? I'd download and endorse THAT mod as soon as I reinstalled Oblivion.
