You can, I indeed use them myself alongside Unique Features.
The only disadvantage is that these agemaps do not match exactly Nuska's new head meshes and egt files from OCO v2, so the neck seam is noticeable. Using a neck seam concealer necklace, however, solves this. The resolution is also slightly lower, so if you use real high visual settings you will see some artifacts in close-ups.
But you need to manually place the files in their intended folders, because the file structure is not the same on OCO v2, but it's quite easy to do. Be careful to not overwriting Unique Features agemaps (change the age suffix to the following one or another you find suitable).
I find all that hassle worth the effort because these warpaints still look great on OCO v2.
Just tried it and yes, they work, and they look as great on OCO v2 as in v1
BUT, and it's a bit BUT, these agemaps do not mix well with the new egt files Nuska created for v2, and in some cases (especially Dark Elves) cause visible discoloration and tone mismatch between head and body.
If you don't mind having differently toned face and body, you can use these agemaps for v2. Don't forget to install them properly (read carefully the description page).
I tried your warpaints (I mean, these for OCO v1) on OCO v2 and they looked totally awesome. The only issue was that they did not fit with Nuska's new egt files and caused visible discolorations, but beside this, were really great. And in OCO v1 they look simply stunning.
So I'll be right here waiting for your new piece of art for OCO v2, panting and tapping my feet on the ground.
Do you have to have OCO for this to work? I saw earlier that you said it won't work for Orc, Altmer, or Dunmer if you don't have it, but I'm only interested in it for a redguard character. Will I run into any other problems if I don't get OCO?
I think for all human races, this should work even if you have not OCO installed. Nuska did not change the texture paths for the Imperial race, and all the other human races share the same texture paths as Imperials.
So, without having tested it myself, I dare to say that yes, your Redguards will use the Warpaints even if you have not OCO installed. Just try it and tell us if it works indeed.
Building on Tyls' request, would it be possible for you to make a compatibility patch for this mod and Django's Unique Features. I realize that this would likely be made, if you decide to do so, after OCO version 2 is released. Both mods compliment each other well, so it is a shame that they can only be seen side by side if OCO Warpaint is allowed to overwrite DUF, which causes some loss of content from the second.
I probably won't and any progress on this mod is on hold untill OCO 2.0. But then I'm planning a huge set of warpaint, scars and other facial features.
Eh, I'm sorry to hear that. But I am looking forward to your new material after OCO 2.0 is released, which sounds like its not going to be out for some time, but I have patience. Thanks anyway.
A decent mod, but I'm not too thrilled about having to have an aged character in order to have any warpains/facial hair. I have it installed to add a bit of variety to npc's, but I personally don't use it for my characters.
So far, I'm really enjoying the war paints and it would be so great to have more patterns.
What bothers me a bit: I play a female high elf and it's almost impossible to create a juvenile face without tattoo. This makes me guess that most high elf npc characters will have tattoos, too. I have no clue how these age maps work, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to include more "normal" age maps between the tattoos? I was using "Unique Features" before and the features didn't seem to show up that often.
I have not checked the other races so far. When I have the time, I might play around with combining unique features and this mod and learn how age maps work.
