Hey Due to the missing conversation with the NPC (yeah that is right, White Rose Farm Inn keeper "lady" speaks to me but I cannot hear s#*!). It's not my laptop btw it's the mod. Anyway I can overcome this because I don't really care about her. All I care is that I need to know where to go and buy my house upgrades which I have brought from her (the house near the lake). Yeah it's such a shame that she only sells you a hen and three healthy chicks lol. If there are ny available upgrades, where to get them?
Well...you may have to make a choice here. This farm is quite a long walk from the roadway..and that bridge. Doesn't seem very logical that bandits would stray that far from their ambush spot. I imagine they will go on the same killing spree if you happen to have Shezries Pells Gate which is at the foot of the bridge. So either you have towns with realistic populations....or crazy smart bandits that kill everything within a miles walk.
Thanks for all that you've done adding farming villages to Cyrodill. As an enthusiast of Alchemy, I really love added farms, that aren't composed of sheep or pigs... Unfortunately, it seems the Whiterose Farming Association has prohibited outsiders from harvesting from half of the carrots and all of the lettuce on the large field to the side of town. It was simple, though a little time consuming, to change the ownership of 40-50 flora items found there. Thought I'd mention the oddity; even though the last post was almost a year ago.....
It was actually intentional. Having grown up in a rural area I know from experience that farmers aren't too keen on people helping themselves to the crops. So I began setting ownership for a little more realism. Guess I just never finished it in this particular mod. I'll add that into my notes for the next update.
Just like to say thanks for everything I've downloaded from you and for the work that goes into everything. My game is exploding with new settlements now... heh I think I'm done. I've shoved so much from other modders, the files you supply are icing on the cake. Time to eat it!
I'll be back to endorse all that I've used. Kudos!
It's great to see people enjoying my little hobby. The kind words make for a nice bonus and of course are always appreciated too. So thank you in return. But hey...save some room in that load order..there are still more settlements on the way.
Correct, only when exiting the game does it cause a CTD. In my experience when cleaning esp's (which I don't do anymore) it causes exactly this problem with it crashing to the desktop on exiting the game.... which it's suppose to prevent. When I tested the mod (ironically) I'm next to one of your other farms SOC-Wickmere Farm.
Crashing on exit is not really a mod specific issue. It's a well known Oblivion game engine bug caused by ...modding in general. The more you have the more common the problem becomes. I've read a detailed explanation somewhere but honestly can't remember where atm. The only sure fire prevention I know of is installing a utility mod like Fast Exit 2 which is designed to prevent that from happening.
As for cleaning mods it is essential...but not for this reason. Cleaning prevents unintentional, dirty edits which may be potential conflicts with other mods and can cause your game to CTD while actually playing. Hope this helps somewhat.
It does help. I wasn't sure on the real effects of cleaning, and why I was getting CTD's while exiting because of cleaning. I'm going to start cleaning again, and thanks for introducing me to fast exit.
One of the main causes of crash on exit are mods that deleted vanilla objects that are in their way. A main function of TES4edit is UDR (UnDeleted Record). For the supported mods the cleaning will undelete the deleted records, and then get them out of the way instead by disabling them and sinking them deep below the playing area.
That is true and is why all of my mods are thoroughly cleaned prior to release. I actually go beyond the automatic steps of cleaning out UDR/ITM records and manually comb out all of the random wild edits as well.
My main focus with this series was compatibility so making sure the plugins are clean is crucial to me.
Being nice and clean won't cause CTD.....that's precisely why it's clean. I went to great pains to ensure compatibility. You're the first one to report anything like this so I have no idea what the cause could be. There are over 400 downloads with no other error reports.
Canyou be more specific regarding the CTD. When and where does it happen for you? How close to the settlement are you when it crashes? What other mods are you running? Do you have a bashed patch? Need more info in order to help.
This very nice mod! is causing me to get a CTD... I disabled the KOTNR - whiterosefarm.esp and KOTNR, but I still get the crash with just the whiterosefarm.esp enabled. So, it's the whiterosefarm.esp causing the CTD. I tried to clean both the whiterosefarm.esp and KOTNR update, but both are nice and clean.... maybe that's why I'm getting CTD's?

My deepest apologies
P.S. Sorry it caused you so much work.

ONLY causes a CTD while exiting the game.
