It's beautiful as long as the weather is clear but the moment any fog or mist appears distant mountains and objects just become stark grays and whites against a normal looking sky. It washed over all objects until just a few yards from where my character was standing and half the time it was like being in a whiteout. It's too bad because when it worked I saw such a huge difference for the better. Any idea why that would be happening because I'd love to keep using these textures.

Awesome! This is exactly what I´ve always been looking for.
Just started replaying Oblivion and again, like years ago, I got frustrated with the ugly spots in the LOD, many textures being way too bright, and the grass looking somewhat out of place on the ground.
Tried some other texture packs, all of which took away the vanilla feeling, and then I found this one. This is finally it, after all those years. ;-)
Thank you so much for your work!

Thanks for your work. These textures really improve the look of the game without taking away the vanilla feeling or burdening my computer even more.
I still get some black plants though, namely strawberry bushes and tinder polypores.

Thanks for the info. I'm fixing problems with textures as I encounter them while playing the game. Often though, other people will encounter those problems before me.. I hadn't seen the strawberry bushes and tinder polypores, so thanks for that. I'll get on it now.

The problem is that although all the textures are DDS format, there are numerous DDS types with differing alpha values. As far as I know there is no way to tell which alpha type a texture is when viewing it with the Nvidia Photoshop plugin... So when I edit and save, I have to guess.. Apparently a few of those guesses were incorrect :/

I've fixed strawberries and tried to fix tinder pollypores but I can't find them in game to be sure. Are you able to tell me the location of some tinder polypores? Once I've verified they're fixed I'll upload v0.95 which contains several other fixes like the wall ivy at Leyawiin and rock faces outside Anvil

They are mostly found in the eastern and northeastern regions. There's a detailed map on uesp.net.
And I don't know if you already fixed this, but the transparency on the wines hanging from several houses in Hackdirt was broken, too.

edit: eastern, of course, not western....

Thanks. I just did the Hackdirt side quest so it's on my map I'll go check it out now

edit: Sorry it took me a while to get back here. The vines are okay now, although they look god awful... I'd pretty much just prefer them not to be there at all because of the way they reflect light... I wonder if I can change that..

Better way is to use another replacer... This one have bad textures in high resolution.

The exact point of this mod is to avoid using a high res replacement pack; as stated in the description. High res packs are not for everyone. If you don't like that, there's no need to be a dick about it. Just go and download the one you prefer and leave others to their own preferences.

This really makes my game look -much- better, however I came across a very weird texture gtlich with waterfalls and plants after I installed this. Many plants go all the way black and the waterfalls carry large blue transparent pixels with themselves. First I had no idea what is causing it, as I checked the mod files numerous times, and none of them replace water textures (only plants). I still don't know what turns the plants black, but could it be possible that the waterfall gltich is caused by a conflict with Enhanced Waters HD?

Alright, nevermind what I have written earlier. I found the cause of the issue, which are the four particular files in the landscape subfolder that replace water and waterfoam textures. I deleted them and now the glitch is gone. Though I still have no idea why the new textures turn the waterfalls into pixelfalls.

Hi thanks for notifying me. Are you able to tell me which files they were so that I can fix this problem for the next release?

      Sure. There we go:

      landscapewater.dds
      landscapewaterfoam.dds
      landscapewaterparticles01.dds
      landscapewaterparticles02.dds

Looking forward for the next release!

I very much want to try this, mostly because default lighting is horrible and the popular lighting mods didn't help much.
However, I also use Natural Environments, and would like any information on potential conflicts, if you will

    [EDIT]
I went ahead and installed. Most files were new, with only a handful of overwrites. And yes, it looks way better.

I love it! It brings some fresh look to Cirodiil without destroying its particular magic.

Downloading, this is what I've been looking for. Something that doesn't hurt FPS like OBGE or EMB series. This really made things work out nicely without having to change much, thank you!

Glad you like it That's exactly why I made it. I tried OBGE and found it to be very temperamental and unstable... A shame because I really liked the 'liquid water' effect. I started with the LODs because the dark marks in the distance were irritating me, then I just kept going. I just did some Imperial City and Bruma textures last night, they'll be in the next version
