   It seems everyone else likes the sound, but I am not really feeling it. No disrespect intended. Is there any way to keep the glowing, but disable the sound?

      Download a silent wav file (like this one from archive.org), duplicate it, rename the files to match the files used in this mod, and overwrite the original files (or create a custom patch). Easy!

   I checked the list of changes for the Unofficial Patch and it appears the UOP does not do this as of v3.5.7, so this mod is not deprecated AFAIK.

      I don't even know where people get their information from that they were spreading that the unofficial patch made this mod obsolete

   So... is this mod obsolete now, because of the 'newest' Unofficial Oblivion Patch?

      I don't believe so, I was using the latest UOP build and it didn't have glowing stones included.
      Also I'm not sure why you mention this, the latest build as of your post was v3.5.6b (2020-03-05), the changelog mentions nothing to do with the doom stones.

      Yeah: after using this mod, I noticed this, too. The stones are awesome, and unique, now.

      It's 2022 and either UOP or some other mod is causing my runestones and wells to glow...so yeah I think its obsolete.
