Helpful info for anyone planning on downloading this:
Salt Lands requires Shivering Isles to work correctly, otherwise elements will be missing. This was uploaded as a work in progress and a demo of what the final result was supposed to be capable of.
After enabling this mod, a box will pop up and a quest will be added to the log. The quest marker leads to the Salt Lands trapdoor in the waterfront district.
Once there, you can talk to an NPC and tell him to build the town up. This can be done multiple times, and adds additional structures into the cliffside, and a gate around the area. The structures can be torn down with a similar dialogue option. There are ruins in the cliffside, but they lead nowhere.
There is also demo of what membership in the town would be like, starting as a peon and ending as you declare yourself the new ruler/overlord of the Salt Lands. The dialogue goes by quickly, making it difficult to read the whole thing. You will receive a powerful(?) helmet as a reward.
Finally, there is a chest which contains 100 units of Amber and 100 units of Madness in the house. Additional Amber can be purchased from and sold to the NPCs in varying quantities. The price can be manipulated at will by the player, making this mod a potential source of infinite gold and of these two types of ore.
