Anyone worked out how to more specifically fix that crazy "Joker grin" that some companion mods get, the one that makes them look like chimps on crack? I don't like the idea of a general Disposition reduction, since it will mess up your princing with merchants, and make it hard to get a lot of quests done (especially if you're already using a Dispo realism mod, like that included in AoG). I just want CM Partners to stop looking like they just won the lottery all the time. Many of them don't seem to do it any more, but some (especially particular custom races) still do it.

Look at the comment by T3alrose below and use Search to find the suggested mod. Never laid eyes on it myself before, so no idea how well it works.

Already got that, and all it does is use one GMST to make EVERYONE stop smiling, at all. It's throwing out the baby with the bath water. I may have to just study custom-race companions that don't have the problem and see if there's an obvious difference between them and those that do have it.

    Bug:
People will occasionally dislike you so bad that they will attack you.

Wouldn't setting PlayerFaction Modifier to -10 fix this?

Well, it is not intended to be a "grin fix" neither a "fix" for other facial impression am I wrong?

NPCs SHOULD smile at you IF you worked hard on the relationship so that you become a friend - or more likely - proved that you are not an enemy.

So as far as I understood the mod never claimed to get rid of the facial impressions there for I don't understand complaining.

It's a great concept. I'll try it out and see the changes

The concept of this mod isn't that bad.

People might also want to try the "No Smiling Companions" mod which essentially disables the NPC's disp-expressions; they may not smile stupidly at you but neither will they make that cocky grimace at you.
I newly started playing fo3 and the thing I liked is that you're not always sure what the npc's there feel about you unless they make a comment at you in rare circumstances, while they they always look angry when in a fight. In ob it may feel a bit strange to fight a smiling bandit though.

This is interesting. I have been to a small town once that treated strangers like this. It's easy to imagine that during a crisis people might become hostile and suspicious even in big cities. For all they known, you could be from the Mythic Dawn or the Dark Brotherhood. You could be a skooma dealer, a vampire, or a necromancer. Nirn has a lot of social problems and a lot of villains in disguise. It will be interesting to see how this changes gameplay feel. I think I will have to start a new character in order to get the full effect. Maybe it will make the main quest feel more urgent, like it should be.

I just tested the link and it worked fine for me. Maybe the Nexus was experiencing heavy traffic or there was a problem with your Internet connection when you tried.
