This modification is an absolute gem, I've recently got back into oblivion and your sword entranced me and when I learned there was a mission involved with it I decided to not read how to start it because I didn't want to spoil it and it paid off brilliantly.
Never expected it to start where it did but the quest was amazing, a truly memorable one I will love reminiscing in my elder days when I tell the young ones of the legendary sword I found in the old game days.
The sword itself is absolutely magnificent and I cherish it beyond description, your attention to the books detail and application of it is astonishing. That said I'd of love to have seen the beautiful Galadrim scabbard but the rest more than makes up for it.

One quest I do have wise story master is concerning the other devices, primarily the Shield of Elendil the Tall, do I have to complete the quest on lvl 25 or after to obtain it, can I aquire it once reaching lvl 25 despite having gotten the sword earlier, or is it no longer obtainable die to what I assume are the no longer existing mods?

And amazing stuff I can't imagine any other custom mission getting me so gitty and immersed as yours, thank you for this piece of art.

Nevermind what I said good sir, I didn't actually bother checking those sections cause I thought they were decorative or that the chests may appear there, I see what you've done its very well implemented.

Quest is broken.  Found the journal, found Merilnir himself, but the quest won't update past "... I should find Merilnir first."  Known fixes?

      Update:

I took it upon myself to just go outside the Fort and managed to find the stone king.  From there, after reading Merilnir's journal thoroughly, I searched everywhere at midnight for the entrance.  This mod has awesome weapons and stunning visuals, but this HALF-ASSED quest is completely atrocious.  The quest info, from your quests menu, doesn't update once you find out where Merilnir is.  There are ZERO map markers or further guidance to locating the location containing Anduril.  On your own, you literally have to find the Stone King, wait until around midnight, and then wander aimlessly casting a scroll Merilnir wrote, for a slim chance you stumble near the entrance.

For anyone without impeccable patience, just command line this into your inventory and don't waste your time.  The Anduril is pretty awesome though, so I would recommend downloading this.  Just be warned the quest for it is trash.

      ***Clue***
When you read, in Merilnir's journal, that the Stone King overlooks the entrance, this does NOT mean the entrance is in front of the Stone King.  Again, shitty quest with shitty attention to detail.

The challenge in deciphering the clues and lack of map markers were both intentional. The exact location of the entrance is mentioned in the mod description as is a link to a video walkthrough.

well done mod, im having issues with the sword however, its light enchanment flickers in a way that makes it unplayable. Is there a fix or some way i can remove that function in tes4edit or something?

EDIT: it seems to stop glowing if you spawn it using console commands. (max lvl formid is; XX000ed3 with "XX" being its form prefix that you can find with either your mod manager or tes4edit)

One of the best sword mods ever. I'd give real money to have this mod somehow in Skyrim. Just to have a proper sword that you can wear on back or on hip, and use one handed or two depending on needs or mood is something I don't think anyone has done in Skyrim SE...

I read the description says you can take the sword back and basically "refresh" it to scale it to your level, so would that conflict with the auto update leveled items and spells mod? Or would it just negate the trip back to the specific area?
    Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot

Well done Mod. Would highly recommend having a "climb" mod to get to the large statue though.

I didn't have much trouble finding the door; it was saying SE, so I went to a small ledge nearby, activated the scroll, and there was the door. I thought obtaining the sword would be easy once I was inside, but I didn't expect there to be four ghost guardians protecting it. Rather nice touch. Thankfully, I had both silver arrows and a silver claymore, so taking them out was challenging, but not impossible (was playing at 50% difficulty at lv 12.) The custom music and the vanilla music were overlapping each other during the battle though.

While I was playing this quest, I was thinking "you know, the geography of Tamriel is somewhat similar to Middle Earth, and there ARE elves, goblins, and orcs residing in various locations. What if Tamriel is just Middle Earth but like 10 millennia after the War of the Ring?"

    Just some food for thought.
