I love this mod so much. Thought for anyone that just wants to know what the numbers look like with 100 intelligence and 100 in all 6 schools of magic I'd let you know.
High Elf: With no magic related birthsign 1200 magicka With the Mage birthsign 1400 magicka With the apprentice birthsign 1600 magicka With the Atronach birthsign 1800 magicka
A must have mod, if you really like magic... Nonsense the (too much) low cap of the vanilla version forcing you to supply your low Magicka points with a lot of magical artifacts to be carried with you.
Really good mod. I just found out a little trick with this mod, kind of a cheat if you think about it.
Firstly you save the game your playing with the mod active, quit, turn the mod off, go back to your saved game, save with the mod turned off, quit again, turn the mod back on, and once you have the mod back on go to your saved game again and your magicka should have risen some. Then just rinse and repeat. Hope this works.
I've risen my magicka up to 1,700,000 (1.7 Million!) with my main character. But it's a cheat, so you don't really have to do it if you want a serious game.
Ya, this mod works well but needs a little tweaking. I just went into the script and changed the formula to:
((1 + ((sum of magic skills)/700))) * 10
Means each point of total magic skill (Conj + Alch + etc) gives you +1% magicka, up to a total of +100% when all your magic skills are 100. I find this quite balanced.
It is a good idea but not excellent realisation. I have 49 level, and 369 magicka points (there is ooo mod installed, seems it is correcting magic system some way from original) - it is quite enough to beat all my enemies, but not enough to feel the benefits of highest game levels. The most powerfull spells takes 200-250 points, so I am combining them with magicka absorb effect, and I like it very much - it is realistic that your power based on your ability to rational skills using, not only on the amount of magicka. And using your mod I got 1630 points. I think that powerfull mage must have 400-450 magicka points as a maximum, so it would be a little differense for you to fight a mouse or 4 dremora lords.
My advice is to still use your method, but recalculate magicka points using maximum of 450-500 points. Than plugin would be balanced.
