I'll reverse the normal map for the "bites" in the blades, like I said, it's my first time really using normal maps so I'm getting used to how they work.
Remember, because I'm still learning, I'm always open to suggestions, feel free to let me know how I can improve my mods.
I've got a bit of a habit of viewing models in NifSkope before using them in game. Kinda strange that the textures wouldn't display correctly in GIMP though. Afterall they are .dds format. *shrugs*
Anyway, now that I've seen the weapon in game, and WITH textures... Are there by any chance supposed to be little hack marks in the blade? Because they look raised. Could the normals perhaps be reversed?
I like the weapon model quite a lot. Seems like it'd fight a bit more like an oversized kama, a pick axe, or a scythe than a battle axe. I'm sure the "Stinger" move from the DMC 2h weapon animation mod would be perfect for it though. ">
*EDIT* I can't find a problem, I got rid of all my files and downloaded it off the site and it works fine... Anyone else experiencing this?
Because I baked the normal map into the model in max the texture won't show up in nifskope, I don't have the .dds plugin for GIMP to view it (i use photoshop) but I assume its a similar issue.
So to clarify, does the texture show up ingame or are you just talking about viewing the .nif in nifskope and GIMP?
Initially I'd noticed that the textures wouldn't display on the weapon model in NifSkope.
Then I checked the textures in GIMP and they showed up black with a thick white strip down the left edge, with which the black had been erased to alpha.
So far I've only viewed the stuff in NifSkope and GIMP, but I've tried dling twice and still get the same thing.

Do I need Shivering isles? Are there some other mods and patches that this mod cant work without?

Did I not include something? Is the alpha channel off? is the normal map not showing? Does it just need some work?
