More than two years later and it's still my favorite bow and arrow set. I love how Emelfein and Beriafael match it too (or, rather, how they all match Emelfein). They all look amazing. I've never noticed (even on my old compy) any performance problems from them either.
Well, I like it. One of the few realistic bows out there, without skulls, floating daggers, or decoration that look they'd weigh so much that most of the energy in the bow would go into moving those instead of the arrow.
That said, the polygon count seems to be a bit high.
Still with only one of them on the screen at any time, the graphics card seems to deal with it just fine.
Sorry, no low-poly in the works. I know the models are quite "heavy", but there's a lot of work involved with creating low-poly variants, as much of the geometry has to be recreated in the texture maps.
My goal with these was to learn Maya so the models weren't necessarily created with game performance in mind.
Thanks Zero_Phoenix. The heads have diamonds on them and they are visible in dark areas. I'm thinking maybe you don't have "Window reflections" on in your game settings? This is needed for the polish to show.
Great job on these. The only thing I could possibly ask for out of the arrows is to make the heads a bit sparkly so they can be traced better, being Gem Arrows and whatnot.
High quality work. I'm floored by your modcrafting, and hope you continue to make stuff like this Glypha.

Thankyou for sharing and allowing us (havn't a clue how to mod) players the chance for great items.

those gems tax my system something fierce.
Zero_Phoenix does make a good point, however.
the gems on the arrowheads cannot be appreciated very well given your playing view.
