Not sure if this thread is still checked. If so, I am looking to remove the function that causes enemies to fall to the ground when wounded. After working through the esm and esps, I am still unable to find where this is scripted. Anyone help point me in the right direction?
I think this version is outdated and cause issues. Check below for the latest version and instructions on how to install it.
(I'm cross posting this over the MMM pages to help anyone stuck, good luck ^^)
This should help anyone who wants to install an up to date version of MMM. Credit to UWShocks mainly, I found one of his comments just before I gave up which more or less explained the process but lacked the links. Here's his revised post which I've now revised with working links lol.
1. Go here and download MMM38.rar and MMM38BSA.7z. (you'll have to make an account on tesalliance.org). 2. Extract Marts Monster Mod.bsa from the MMM38BSA.7z file and rename it to MMM.bsa. 3. Next, download the MMM omod Installer. 4. If you haven't already, download and install OBSE. 5. If you haven't already, download and install OBMM. 6. Start OBMM, and click Create at the bottom. 7. In the omod creator window that pops up, click Add archive and select MMM38.rar. 8. On the bottom of the creation window, select Data Files, then select Add Files. Locate and add MMM.bsa. 9. Click Add Archive and select MMM_OMOD_Installer 1_6_1.rar file. 10. Click Yes when asked to import omod conversion data. 11. Click Create omod and let OBMM take its time compressing the OMOD. 12. Install the MMM OMOD by double-clicking it in OBMM. 13. Follow the instructions on screen to complete installation. 14. Reset ArchiveInvalidation and launch the game through OBSE.
Kudos goes to UWShocks really if this works for you ^^ I just managed to find the elusive 3.8 file and revised the above steps a little, without his comment I'd have just decided to not bother lol.
Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I was able to install it following this tutorial. But then I started facing many crashes and errors.
First I went to Imperial City, and guards were messed up. I could see the hairless head and sword, the rest was "invisible" and there was a big yellow star warning for missing texture. I disabled Diverse Imperial Armor and it was fixed.
Then I entered a house, and on a corner there were 4 of those stars. I don't remember which esp I disable, they were chairs.
Then I decided to take a look on Cyrodill to see what had changed. I tried to fast travel to Fort Alessia, crashed. Then I tried to Sardavar Leed, same crash. I tried then to Pell's Gate, and finally succeeded.
I went southeast and had a lot of crashes on the way. I have a Detect Life ring and was able to see there was something up front, but always with a hill blocking the view. Crash happened before passing these hills. I went disabing esp's and was able to pass over a crash, but then there was nothing where the ring pointed before, and a bit further there was another crash.
The maximum I saw was a few monsters fighting far along. And crashed before getting closer.
After disabing 4 or 5 esp's, I gave up and uninstalled the damn thing. The idea is good, I clap for the modularity, but it's all worthless if all it brings is instability. I wanna play Oblivion, not "play" Wrye Bash.
A last note. I understand Oblivion is old and most fans are playing Skyrim or Online and modders don't work on Oblivion anymore (some are still active! ) . I'm not asking for support. I'm asking to release a complete and working and stable final version on a single zip before orphaning the mod.
can't download the website ask be to create an acount.
i am not interested in creating an count on a 4th party website for the sole purpose of downloading this. thus, i will overlook the existance of this mod entirely.
For you who encountered missing textures, try to use obmm archiveinvalidation.
Open OBMM -> utilities -> archive invalidation. In new window, click BSA invalidation, UNCHECK "only include files with maching extension", Dont check anything, click update now. after few seconds, click ok. Close the window, launch oblivion.
havent meet any missing texture so far, if it doesnt fix every missing texture, at least it reduce the amount of it
Works great when installed properly, just like the Fallout 3 MMM. Without this the enemies are just boring. With this, fights are always exciting and interesting. I have had issues before when I was less experienced in modding, but using the OMOD version usually makes it a lot simpler to get things working.
Is it possible to get the meshes and textures, of creatures i like, create an esp (with the same details for those creatures from MMM) and do it that way?
I thought about using that DLL, but the amount of creatures i want pales in comparison to the list of ones i don't want.. and for so many, it can be a nightmare!
The only other thing is that i'd like varying sizes of Orge's and other creatures... but i'm not sure where i'd go about getting those settings from MMM.
Hi, Loving this mod! It definitely improves the entire game. A question: I haven't been able to find a mummy. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

I am pretty sure it is due to the Extra Wounding esp.
