does this mod turn capes and cloaks for self in the amulet slot as well? I'm trying to use masks and this mod to have a cape, cloak and mask for my character but cape wont show.

Seems to make my character bald and every cape and cloak is now invisible

    Thanks for this mod!
As for Phelaran's comment, I checked it out in the editor, and the cloaks are all showing as Hair & Amulet items. The original Capes & Cloaks esp had Hair & tail checked. Maybe this mod has been updated since Phelaran's comment? I haven't play tested yet to see if the problem replicates for me, but will give it a try.

there is a similar mod like this but much tougher to install, thank you for such a good mod.
this mod allows for the beast races not to lose there tails when
equiping capes, maybe you could do this to other back items?

This is funny and interesting thread. I found it while searching for a solution to my problem.

My problem is: I'm trying to make this exact mod, and I'm having the exact same problem. My modded cloaks don't show and make me bald. The whole "biped object" thing confuses me. Does the mesh itself need to be re.....rendered?

Capes show fine as amulets, by the way, maybe because they don't replace hair. Cloaks are the problem.
Its not hide amulets. Wrye bash removed hide amulet tags from every piece of clothing and armor in my game.

This would be a swell time for someone with loads of modding experience to reach down and show how its done.

I hadn't thought of giving capes to my companions. I'm making this mod so I can wear a cape with dwemer spectacles, which also use tail slot. This seemed easier than changing spectacles into helms. I'll give that a try now...

Edit:Haven't figured out how to turn spectacles into helms, but my solution to this problem came when I unchecked the tail tag on cloaks. So, my capes are in amulet slot and my cloaks are in hair *only*, and they both show up fine!

I'm having the same problem as Phelaran, any idea what could cause it? This mod would be fantastic if I could get it to work I'm sure.

There is a problem with this that the original esp did not have. Your cloaks are invisible, and equipping one causes my hair to disappear. The capes, however, operate identically to the original version. Just to make sure there wasn't a mod conflict (although if there was, I would expect the capes to be invisible too), I switched back to the original esp. The cloaks and capes are visible. Switched back to this esp, and the cloaks are invisible and I'm bald. I tried this with and without the Show Amulets mod active, makes no difference.

The original capes and cloaks mod uses the tail slot. I changed the original capes and cloaks mod to use the amulet slot instead of the tail. Reason being is that companions would not equip anything that used the tail slot whether it was a beast race or not. As far as clipping I never put a cape on a beast race so I have no idea.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason companions won't equip to the tail slot is because Khajits and Argonians have their tails equipped there. Allowing the AI to equip items there would cause Khajit and Argonian companions to lose their tails. Bethsoft never intended for anything other than tails to be equipped there, so there isn't anything in vanilla AI to allow NPCs to use that slot, and the various companion mods probably haven't been able to bypass that shortcoming.

If I were to use these cloaks on a Khajiit, would the tail clip with the cloak?
