Thank you for this mod I mean how exactly do you fail to pick up a mushroom and trust me I've read more than a few books about herbalism there is no way to harvest an ingredient that would render it unusable. Its possible to hurt the plant in the process or not flick the cap of mushroom so it'll drop spores and cause more mushrooms to grow. Unless you think of it as retaining magical properties of the ingredient by harvesting it a certain way I see no reason not to use this mod.
Yeah this would make sense for everything that is obviously 100% but there are also plants like bloodroot and other obscure shrubs that could contribute to getting enough of the plant to consider it a sample, or else you fail and the sample is smushed up by you trying to grab it. It should be 100% for most but lower chance for others?
I'm torn between this mod being realism and a cheat, because one wrong move you can fail because it's alchemy not a gift.... but seriously how do you fail at pick a watermelon?

I always found it amazing that visually the ingredient is supposed there, but in reality it somehow gone missing.
Again the Oblivion development team left a gaping hole that must be filled by a mod ">
