Hey, I'm getting a bug where my player's default voice lines (hit/powerattack) cut out entirely. The audio clips work in game with player.say hit/etc, but never work when actually hit. I've got BSA decompressor and ogg vorbis 'n all. I'm assuming a mod did it (I read in the YUP readme that Yukichigai fixed an error where a script breaks the player voice and I have YUP super high in the load order).
I've spent hours reading GECKwiki and checking tutorials trying to figure out how the game calls player voice line and why others' lines work but not the players and I just can't seem to find anything on that. I've tried different audio devices, updated all of the drivers, and even download LAVFilters as per a random guide I found from 2022 (though no clue if it's actually working).
Is there anything I can do to find the problem so I can fix it (Hopefully in FNVedit)?
First thing I'd try is seeing if a simple replacer fixes the issue. Try any of these: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/70203
If that fails, you could try the old reliable "copy your profile in MO2 and start disabling stuff until it's fixed" approach. Or, you could work the other way - make a fresh profile and start enabling stuff until the problem comes back. I know it's annoying, but it's probably the best way to figure it out if you have no leads.
Thanks for the suggestions! I did try a voice replacer and no dice, unfortunately. I've read a bunch of troubleshooting guides and I think the disable-half thing might be the way to go. I'm worried that it's just some stupid setting in a mod, because reconciling all those hours of investigating as caused by personal stupidity might destroy me lmao
Figured it out, eventually. For whatever reason the setting "Less Frequent Player Pain Sounds" broke and disabled them entirely (maybe conflict?). Disabling that tweak fixed it, but I almost have the opposite problem now lmao

MO2 is giving me a warning that this mod is incompatible with xNVSE. Should I just ignore it?
EDIT: Ignore this whole thing. Apparently loading the GECK through MO2 also loads NVSE.edit: Disregard this.
