Version 2.0 is a massive update. It's new content arguably rivals the new content provided by the original STARS 1.0 version's additions.
I've done a content pass on the previously included content, and removed many items which don't align with my current preferences, and I've integrated a huge amount of new content.
You must replace your existing STARS installation if updating from below 2.0.
The Black Mountain Thug armor has been removed as a requirement, and it can be deleted safely.
When updating to 2.0, or on a new installation, follow the installation guide provided on the main page.

Yes, it's a lot of stuff to download and install.

Read the whole main description again. Many new features have been implemented.

And most importantly, a new save is absolutely, completely required.
Any save using 1.9 or below will be completely torched and unstable if you update to 2.0 while your save is ongoing. A huge amount of forms have been deleted from the mod, including everything from previous armor entries to unused spare forms, and it will impart an irreversible degree of instability to ongoing saves.

Also, read the questions section on the main page before making a post.

A scripted asset check has been implemented - you will be informed if you are missing a requirement, and which one it is.
Any posts describing missing models or assets, or asking which assets coordinate with a specific apparel item will be summarily moved to a designated bugs post and ignored, as you were already informed of what was missing.

When updating to version 2.20+, if you load a save from before the update when you were wearing power armor, you may end up with some debuffs that can't be removed. To fix this, simply revert to 2.19, take off your power armor, save, update, then load your new save and save again.

I really like this mod, but unfortunately I can't stand to play without TOTNW anymore, would be epic if there was an up to date patch between the two.
  5. Do you plan an making an alt version without the required armor mods? I really don't want to install any of them. Don't have the patience.

Does anyone have any problems or know how to fix issues with a floating backpack when using a weapon that has a backpack?

Hello there! I'm having some issues with textures. The asset check isn't saying I'm missing anything, the required plugins are 'hidden' (disabled specifically, using MO2), but some stuff is still rather weird.

Some armors have textures that flicker between different colors and patterns, an example being the Lightweight Ballistic Armor, while quite a few helmets such as the Brahmin Skull Hood have that red exclamation point that I think indicates a missing texture, even though again, the asset check isn't indicating anything missing. I saw in the other bug posts that the issue could be issues with texture pathing, something about .nif, could that be the issue?

I realize the balancing act is probably quite complicated, but with STARS+SWEEP and the recommendation in the guide to use Sweet Simple Settings to set fMinDamMultiplier=0, I got to 36 DT at around level 13 and now I'm ignoring damage from assault rifles, light machine guns, and a bunch of other stuff. I guess this setting relies heavily on Armor Damage Overhaul, to balance armors through condition damage?

Can Simple Power Armor HUD can be used in place of No Pipboy In Power Armor as a prereq for STARS? It's billed as a stripped down, updated version of NPIPA.

I could swear that I had the instruction to change the Power Armor Holo Panel config for bUseGlove to 0, but apparently I never wrote that in the installation guide.
I've simply included an overwrite for that config file in the newest update. The only change y'all need to do is to just make sure it loads before STARS, rather than its load order not mattering up until this point.
