I'm not sure if you'll see this, but it kind of bothers me how the rifle doesn't have a changed firing sound with the suppressor. Could you possibly fix, just slap on the vanilla suppressed AM rifle noise when suppressor is equipped?
Personally, while I love the weapon's functionality, I'm not a fan of how small it is. This is supposed to be based off the M82, right? Or various other semi-auto .50 BMG anti-materiel rifles? Well, the size you have it at right now implies that's actually made for .338 Lapua Magnum, not the gigantic 12.7x99mm round that the M82 uses. Even the base game anti-materiel rifle, which is modeled off the Hecate II, looks like it's meant for such a large round.
If you were to upscale the rifle, bring it more in line with what a .50 caliber rifle should look like, that would be much better.
This mod's textures are packaged with PAL 8000 because his custom gun uses the same texture. You can override either one with the other and it won't make a difference.
Looks really cool! damn shame the AMR is the only 50mg rifle in the game. There's definitely a sore lack of variety. I always thought a Browning would be a good addition, or a Barrett type rifle. You really scratched that itch, good job!
Not compatible with WRP it seems. I'm gonna see if I can rectify it. Nope no luck. It's really odd though the whole rifle is fine except for the foregrip where the left hand is placed. That section just looks totally catywompus. Rest is totally fine. Might require a minor edit for the author to fix it.
Actually, it's WRP that's incompatibale with everything else, since it modifies vanilla assets. QwibQwibMods has made a patch that you can download, but I will never officially support WRP.
Yeah I was peeved about that too and made my own patch...shouldn't call something a "retexture" if you are messing with the nifs....as there are hundreds of mods on the nexus that source vanilla assets to save file size... and that "retexture" breaks them all.
Could you do a melee weapons thats a sword surronded by a plasma energy field with each swing shooting out a short ranged plasma projectile. It can be like a unique version of the Sheiskabe
Vanilla quality creativity, that's what I love your work. Even though other modders could've done the same thing, but I think you've done it alot more creative and proficiently without sacrificing the speed of the game. The works on your marksman carbine and service rifle that takes .308 does make pretty much sense similar to the real word counterpart of the AR-10. This isn't a mod, this is a work of art that should've done for a long time.
Thanks for the kind comment! I know it might be baffling to some why I would choose to work with vanilla assets when there are much higher-quality source materials available, but I think that working within constraints (even self-imposed ones) forces me to be more creative. So, I'm really glad that you and other people on the Nexus seem to be enjoying my output!
On one hand Higher quality mod can be interesting eye-candy if anyone wants to use 4k visuals, on the other hand sometimes it doesn't guarantee the mods would work since for one bugs can occur such as clutter and animation not being in-synced. Plus I would actually favor work of art and creativity, then game breaking eye-candies. As mentioned your work is awesome and easy to use for modding.
This looks great, from all angles, I really like it. I'm just getting around to playing FNV and I'm surprised,,yet thrilled, to see it still being modded. I'll have to look up your other mods as well. Thanks for this mod and kick ass .50 semi auto....can't wait to use it.
Yeah, for a game that's nearing a decade old, the modding community is still quite active, which I love! I personally didn't start modding until maybe two, three years ago so I'm actually quite late to the scene, but the amount of support and reference materials out there is nothing short of astounding!
And just so you know, I'm planning to release a mega-pack of most of my weapons in a single plugin sometime soon, to minimize the strain on your load order.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I did look at your other weapons and there are a number of them I'd like to use...well done, like this one, from what I've seen. So, yea, a compilation pack would be a welcome addition, especially with the plug-in limit being so low. Ha, I had Oblivion and FO3 modded almost to max, with 200+ mods with no issues and FNV with the what..130 limit, makes us be pretty selective about what we want to use...too limiting IMO. So in that regard, the merged pack would be great and save space on that plug in list. So, do you suggest I track this mod or something in order to get a notification when you release the pack? I'd definitely use it. Lastly, you're doing pretty well for being relatively "new" to modding, IMO. Yea, there is a phenomenal amount of resources and support from the Nexus modding community, which is one of the things that I love about the Nexus. I tried to make a few very basic mods in the past, but failed miserably, but maybe I'll give it another go, starting from reading all the tutorials available and getting adept at the tools needed, lol. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to be a contributor one day instead of just a supporter, lol. Thanks again and I look forward to your future mods.
I guess you could track this mod? I don't know if there's a way to follow an individual creator, but I'll be adding a section to the descriptions of all the mods I consolidate into the mega-pack to say that it's also available as part of the pack.
Also, if you're thinking of getting back into modding, may I recommend Seddon4494's channel on YouTube if you don't already know about it? It's a fantastic resource that helped me out a lot when I was starting and I still refer back to it regularly even now.
On the "Tracking" subject, I'll keep an eye on the "new" or "recent release" notifications from the Nexus..informs us when a new file/mod is posted, that should cover it I think. About trying my hand at modding, I'll have a look at your suggested reference. I'm sure my failures where because I didn't fully understand how to do things...so, i'll check it out. Thanks. BTW, endorsed this mod. :)

Also, an odd conflict with a mod Tammer's Customizable Companion - P.A.L. 8000
Vortex said it's something to do with textures.
But yeah, thx for the mod :D
