I'm setting up a new game and t have a couple questions: How far is your home from the closest fast travel point? What does your Nuka Cola fridge do? The Nuka Cola fridge in the Lucky 38 mod turns regular Nuka into Ice Cold Nuka Cola. The Sunset Sarsparilla fridge in my Novac apartment turns regular Sunset into Ice Cold Sunset.
While the house looks nice and it seems like you put some effort into it, I don't see why you tagged it as "lore-friendly". Compare your house with the other houses from Goodsprings, all of them are ramshackle houses with modly walls and ceilings, with no proper beds to sleep in.
Now, why would the citizens of Goodsprings give this house to a random man/woman who got shot in the head and then revived by the town's doctor? Out of sympathy? I don't think so.
One way to make this lore friendly is to make the Courier actually do something good for Goodsprings like saving the town from the Powder Gangers or simply being idolized by them and as a reward, he gets the house. But still, that doesn't explain why Chet or Trudy didn't live in that house in the first place.
2 things that you can do to make this lore friendly: either make the house look like a shithole(which is the best way), or do the thing with the reward.
Being given the house as a reward for saving the town from the powder gangers is a really good idea if you can do it. Still downloading and endorsing though.
That's a nice idea. No need for adding new dialogue either. You could just add the key to the players inventory and add a note to the pipboy, maybe open a message box but some might find that intrusive.
Well if you plan on trying it, make an optional file that makes it so you don't have to do the goodsprings quest. cause I'm going to use this with DUST. because all the other playerhomes ive seen for that mod don't really work for me

Indeed, so the reward thing would only make sense if the previous owner--just--left/died (set it to key necessary until then?) or have him/her live there until rewarded for Ghost Town Gunfight, and even then only with a speech check or the like; and failing that check being given another house similar to the other ones (perhaps that added house could be rented dirt cheap meanwhile).
you should really look into this mod. it is a nice addition but you can still improve it like the floor bugs and add it as a reward like people said. i saw your reply in 2019 so it would be nice to do it now because a lot of people are playing fallout NV and 3 again since 76 was so disappointing.
Its a 9/10 beginner's home for beginner players. A must have. Although there may be some minor issues with the floor meshes/texture. Some of the panels seem to be higher elevated and noticeable when seen through casual angles (most notably the bedroom)
It's true really nice mod you'll have to wait to help the people of novac to have your first house or better said 1 room in the hotel or help the brotherhood of steel so that you can get the key to the bunker or help the RNC to get you The key to his shelter or help the Legion to have the key to the shelter .-. In order this mod avoids all those problems of having to help all those factions to be able to have your own house very very nice friend
