This mod is somehow causing (all) the Ranger Hats to be featureless solid-colored silhouettes of their normal mesh. I'm not sure if it's conflicting with something (or even what WOULD conflict with it) but the mod has been working correctly for the majority of the time I've used it, since it was one of the first mods I downloaded.
I really wish you'd consider making an over all patch. One that would also aid custom head mods. I have a Wesker mod but the game doesn't handle his full head of hair well. He looks good in western hats as well as the 1st recon beret. Just that the game needs to get rid of the outer most top layers of his hair like it does other hair styles normally.
How can I do this with NCR Veteran Ranger/Desert Ranger/Riot Gear helmets? It's drivig me up the goddamn wall seeing hair/ears/neck clip through them. I hate it so much and I can't find a fix anywhere for it.
I managed to fix it in the GECK. There's another mod on here that adds neck covers to the helmets so that you can't see your characters neck anymore. The hair was still sticking out, so I opened up the helmet in the GECK and checked the HEAD slot. That way when you put on the helmet, it replaces your entire head so the hair isn't visible. Then when you take the helmet off your head is back to normal. Hope that helps.
I had been wearing the Ranger Gray Hat for a little while before I ran across this mod, and I immediately went "No waaaaaaaay!" But upon loading my game up and taking a closer look, I found that totally yes way, there were two big patches of blonde hair sticking straight through on the front of my otherwise slick chapeau. Added the mod and 100% slickness was achieved.
I've sadly long since switched to a different hat, but I'm still keeping the mod just in case I get all nostalgic or I start up a new game in the future and plop on the ol' trusty ranger sunblock.
