I always loved ranger hats in New Vegas, but they were nothing more than a fancy decoration for your character, so i decided to change that and made this simple mod.
Now they all have following stats:

• dt = 1
• cost = 30
• weight = 1
• bonus to perception +1
  

And some different effects:

• Ranger hat - charisma + 1
• Ranger brown hat - guns + 10
• Ranger grey hat - critical chance + 5
• Ranger tan hat - explosives + 10
  

Not overpowered, but definitely more useful. 
Installation is pretty simple. Use your preferred mod manager or just drop .esp file in your data folder.
I suggest merging this with something to save space in your load order.
