    This was great fun until I realized that if a perk is on the mod's list, you can't not have that perk. Some perks I would rather not have, such as Rapid Reload, Mister Sandman, Splash Damage and Hit The Deck, because they are unrealistic. Just because it's a perk doesn't mean I want to be stuck with it, m'kay?

      I want to download the mod but can't because of this exact issue :\
      I HATE Rapid Reload, I play FNV as a survival simulator and enjoy the tension reloading can cause.

      I agree with these statements about rapid reload. However, as someone becomes more familiar with their gun, they will be able to reload faster... is there a mod that reduces the speed of rapid reload? It might be too fast, but it is realistic.

      I learned to edit scripts precisely so I can tweak mods like this one. Luckily, this is about the easiest script it's humanly possible to edit, just remove the lines you don't like

      Then remove the perk with a console command "player.removeperk,1377fd"

      I like rapid reload and unrealistic perks but thats just my opinion. I've already played New Vegas for the challenge with hard mode on very hard difficulty. Now I like to make my characters a little bit more OP from time to time.

      fair enough, but I thought they all made sense, rapid reload matches the speed of someone who knows their way around a gun, in fact being slower than professional shooters, Mr Sandman is throat slitting, something very much fatal and realistic to be able to do, hit the deck is a real tactic to avoid the worst of an explosion as the concussive energy goes into the ground more and you avoid shripnal, and splash damage is how explosives work, you're just learning to toss explosives to a better place to hit people with more shrapnil, the difference between a kid with a hand grenade and a soldier. the only unrealistic thing in NV is how healing works, don't bring a steak to a gun fight.

      If anyone is still interested you can go into X/FNVedit go to this mods perks and set Rapid Reload's float value from 1.25 to 1.00. This effectively renders the perk ineffective since it can no longer multiply your base reload speed.

    how do I prevent some perks from being added? I don't want the chem resistant perk because it halves the duration of my stims and radaway too. I don't use drugs.

    Awesome mod! there's just way too many perks to waste on the ones that just increase damage (ooh so original devs) I'd rather have ones that allow me to do things i couldn't before; things I can actually interact with and see. Ones like black widow (and similar) are what I considers RP perks, it does more than just a damage boost.

    I've used this before but I never thought to ask, does it cover any of the DLC perks? For instance, I feel the level requirement for Certified Tech is a tad high, having it added when the skill requirements are met would be much more useful.

    I wish there was a lite version with just very few perks that you usually wouldn't pick but are still marginally useful
