Okay, so, I get into the game, and immediately I get a warning that a master one of my mods is reliant on has changed since I last saved. I check the WARNINGS.txt document, and it tells me it's this mod that's having the issue.
Not a more complicated mod I have, like Harder Necessities of Morrowind, but the mod that adds a freaking light to a doorstep.
Yeah, so, what? Does this mod get huffy with Morrowind once I use the code patcher, or what? This is my first time using this mod, by the way.
A lot of mods do that, if they never get updated to the new masters. It's harmless in most cases. In the case of mods based on other mods, though, it can be an issue. EDIT: You can easily fix it in Wrye Mash by clicking on the masters list and then clicking save.
I endorsed this mod entirely because I find it *hilarious*.
I thought the one wee mod I made for SkyrimSE (which turns the blue glowy ball mages get into an orange glowy ball) was neigh unto frivolous, but this has me beat.
So...the mod whines about its masters if you're running anything that "corrected" the dates on the main files, but it still plunks the lantern down on the dude's doorstep, and the lantern still works. If that's the only warning you're getting, feel free to ignore it.
You can even pick the lantern up and take it with you while you shirk your duty to the Empire.... ;)
Just remember that every wee tiny mod adds up to more memory used. I mean...this one's *really* tiny...but...still.
I think it goes well with your lagwind, and bittercoast tree simulator. Perhaps you could expand the tree mod so that once you place the package on Caius' doorstep he'll actually come and find you in the bitter coast to start the Nerevarine tree prophecy. The tree that thwarted Dagoth Ur and helped a mudcrab start great house Sujamma. Imagine the songs that would be sung.

You're saying this quest just adds a lantern?
I might as well put the package in a chest at my character's house...
This mod is mostly a reasoning, an approach to start...
(a new player does not particularly have a chest or home right away.)
Ok, this is not really hardest but it's a little fun and immersive.
Do i really need a mod for that? I like the blue light marker though.
